Well…that was exciting! The transfer window…not the Burnley game! 😂
14 players signed and Johnson leaves (plus about 15 others). Bloody good window imo.
The visit to Chelsea sees our third away game in four. A point was possible vs Arsenal, and 3 points at United looked possible after ten minutes!
It’s difficult to say if Chelsea have started the season well. Wins against Luton and Wimbledon, a draw with Liverpool, and a red card infused loss away to West Ham.
Sterling has been on fire.
Chelsea are in a similar position to Forest last season, having a brand new team that costs over three times what we spent. Still, it’s a good time to play them, barring the absence of Danilo, Johnson Mangala and Santos.
Worrall returns from suspension, but a back three of Boly, Felipe and Niakhate is the preferred option, if Felipe is fit to start:
Turner
Aurier Felipe Boly Niakhate Aina
Yates Kouyate
MGW Elanga
Awoniyi
On the bench, we’re likely light, as the new boys were most likely not registered in time:
Horvath, Worrall, Montiel, Tavares, Willliams, Aguilera, Osong and Wood.
Plus one of the boys we registered in time.
My prediction for this one? 2-1 to Forest. If we get Felipe and Aina starting.
3-1 to Chelsea otherwise.

Amazing result. Fantastic to get the away win issue off our back early in the season.

Wow! What a result!
Have to say, Yates and Worrall in particular were fantastic!

Cooper really has got a headache, but of the positive kind. He has got some really big calls coming his way, but I’m sure he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Fantastic result, compare our 3 away games this season against the same 3 away last season, and there is genuine reason for optimism. Maybe only 3 from 9 points, compared to 1 last season, but we’ve also scored goals and been far more competitive.

It’s a good point Dave, last year we managed 1 point but a goal difference of -8.
This year it’s 3 points and just -1 GD
My feeling is the introduction of the new players can be managed over course of games, he can trust the current core to this team and that means he can let players settle in which is a massive plus as Compared to last year

You watch. Chelsea will try and amortise this result over 8 years, meaning they only lost by 0.125 goals to nil.

Last year we lost to Arsenal and Man U by 5-0 and 3-0. This time 2-1 and 3-2, and should really have had at least two draws.
Massive improvement, confirmed by a massive win at Chelsea the day after losing Brennan Johnson.

Exactly, improvements all round, that’s all I’m asking for this season. Anything more of course is welcomed
Only 4 games in but above the likes of United, Chelsea and Newcastle and top half - a promising start given the opening fixtures and at worse I can’t see the 3 promoted teams finishing above Forest next May
