Liverpool Mk2.0

Well....how do we feel it's going?? Loads of negativity wasnt there after the failed transfer attempts of Lavia and Moises...(yeah well done CFC on that..lol), then we got Endo and Gravenberch in the door plus the likes of Bajcetic and Curtis back in the squad, all of a sudden there appears to be good depth.

Two games we were down to ten men, we lose Konate along with VVD and in come Matip and Gomez, then we get our first clean sheet of the season...klopp tweaked the system, switching TAA with the CB when attacking (as pointed out on motd) so we are more solid (it worked very well Vs Villa).

The four games we have played we have played well, there is more to come from us and for me...Macca, Szlob are an upgrade on Fabinho and Henderson, different styles yes but the new mf has much more about it, particularly goals and energy.

Liverpool Mk2.0 are only going to get better, there will gel better and I cant wait to see the likes of Gravenberch, Bajcetic and Thiago integrated into the team.

We look good...very good, exciting football and Anfield as a fortress...sounds like a title challenge to me.

i am very pleased overall. ignoring the embarassing DM fiasco, we have some great players in for our mf revamp. Endo will be a great milner replacement when hes up to speed with PL. im convinced we will be finding that young fabinho replacement in Jan or next summer.
add that to our very exciting fwd line and things look great(assuming FSG dont fold and accept offers for salah without us securing his v2.0)

my one concern is CB. Konate Matip and Gomez appear to have a timeshare on the treatment table. VVD cant do it all
one bit of bad luck and itll be 2 CMs playin CB again

On the CB issue, I'm not too concerned...we have

Gomez
Matip
VVD
Konate
Quansah

Plus Endo can play there, so 6 in all....I think we can manage until we get another CB in.

Very happy with the squad. A new CB would be good.

I'm pretty sure we'll go for Andre in January which would be good business as I think Gravenberch is more comfortable covering the 8 role.

Also need to look at the Mo replacement as this is almost certainly his last season with us.

Yeah Mo has to go if we get £200M for him, that's incredible money....but only at the end of this season.

We look really exciting - our attacking options in particular.

Good squad evolution will continue. I think the view on this has been skewed by our misjudgement on Caciedo & Lavia.

But beyond that our midfield recruitment this summer has been impressive, after rebuilding the attack over the previous 3 windows.

With the above in mind, my guess would be Andre AND Salah replacement in Jan (think Diaz in Jan then Mane leaving the following summer). Then Salah leaves in the summer and we start spending in earnest on our defense...

GB in all respect I don’t think we were ever in for Moises. We had our bud “accepted” knowing full well Chelsea would have to outbid us. Similar to what City done to Arsenal for Rice. Because of this Chelsea now have a squad full of young players who will struggle to reach their potential (see Cucarella)

Cfc imo are fkd....8yr contacts wtf is that about, no incentive for the player and what if the player decides he doesn't like cfc anymore.....its ok, I just sit on my big fat contract and chill.

There is a reason pretty much no other club does 8yr contracts...because it doesn't work.
