This is the clincher, isn't it? When you read it again, Radz is effectively saying that AK was not doing his job.
The whole interview may have been choreographed to make AK look like the innocent party in this, and as you say, Jonty, to show the 49'ers in a positive light, but the longer term issue with these contacts, especially if we do not win promotion this season, could be extremely damaging for the club.

So according to him the loans work as we are saving 40 million in wages.

None of the players out on loan have increased in value based on how they have played this far.

All of them will have a year less on their contracts and in some cases their second or third season in a row of being in poor form... at which point it's not form.

How the hell is that going to be financially beneficial when selling these players.

We would have got more money selling them now AND we would still have got the wage savings of 40 million.

Bielsa wanted to rebuild the squad... you used the money to rebuild the squad, you just spaffed it up the wall on guff for Marsch.

I'll give him some props for appearing on the show and he was right, it would have been the easiest thing to cancel this now times are bad, but this guy can take a long walk of a short pier.

Watched the whole podcast yesterday morning.

The biggest point for me was the execs not heeding MB's warning that his method necessitated regular replenishment of players due to it's relentless demands, and that the quality needed constant improvement to rise up through the ranks of the league. AR clearly did not have the pockets to facilitate this, so should have moved on a couple of years ago.

It's easy to say with the benefit of hindsight, but from a couple of years back, relegation has been inevitable - Certainly not backing the legend and once he was gone.

... Not even going to comment on the loans fiasco as what ever angle I look at it, next summer is a real problem - look at Rasmus as a current example.

I've finally had time to watch this AK interview by The Square Ball guys and I actually have changed my opinion on AK from wanting like many on this forum for him to be sacked, I say go on then clear up this colossal mess you have been partly responsible for and prove to us all you're not an incompetent so and so and you do have the skills required to put the club back on track.... but this is your last chance pal.

Through all the questioning whether briefed or not I see a man that looks haunted by last years events and although he cannot escape culpability and to be fair to him he doesn't try to wriggle out of the simple fact that himself and his compadre's whole team recruitment side of things was too heavily weighted in the risk side of reward instead of being in the pragmatic side of reward, despite those failures he seems hugely dedicated and passionate about correcting matters.

I see a man who to me looks like he is an extremely pragmatic person by nature but allowed himself to be too easily swept along by Victor Orta and Radz's irresponsible risk taking nature.

Okay you may say he is a yes man but clearly Radz allowed Orta far too much influence and any supposed objections that AK voiced I don't think would have made a blind bit of difference to our eventual fate.

Therefore Paraag gets the fans ire as he surely must have been involved with all contract negotiating but what I heard from AK's explaination The 49ers although knowing about the relegation clauses were not responsible for drawing those up in the fashion they were drawn... that role fell solely to Victor Orta and was rubber stamped by the majority shareholder, Radz, therefore confirming what a lot of us thought that Orta and Radz were the chief architects and not Paraag so unless AK is lieing you have to take what AK has said at face value and thank our lucky stars Orta has left the club because to me there is no doubt he was indeed the problem that Radz failed to check.

As far as I'm concerned a line does need to be drawn under all this and like I said at the beginning I'm prepared to give AK one last chance and the 49ers appear to feel the same way too. If others want to carry on expending their energies on still wanting some sort of public flogging kind of vengeance and are not prepared to give another chance then that's up to them.

Every successful person in life makes feck ups and hopefully learns from them and doesn't repeat them.

I'm as angry as any other Leeds fan about what unfolded prior and immediately after relegation but to me it seems, despite my previous reservations, The 49ers have still got a decent strategy in place to get us promoted ASAP and put right recent wrongs so I'm gonna let them along with AK get on with it. That's it... move on.. Millwall away takes precedence now.
