Watching VAR in the RUWC is a stark...

...reminder how corrupt football is.

Been behind Rugby League and Union referees for years. Money can be the only reason. Not just bribing referees, but global betting markets, political power, etc.

Is this a joke? Rugby Union is decided by refereeing decisions like no other game I know. And here's a secret - before the refs were miked up - no one, but no one, could work out why half the decisions were being given. My son played a lot of rugby and is qualified as a referee. Even he doesn't know whats goig on hlaf the time. Rugby League is much better, but then the RL rules are a bit more rigid.

I thought it was obvious: a worldwide conspiracy to favour the Welsh and the Kiwis orchestrated by a dark, secret cabal known as the Sheeperati.

If he gets as sloshed as you in the mornings it’s no wonder why.

Var has been terrible at the rugby. The Chilean bloke did exactly the same as Curry but he got a yellow rather than a red. Then they didn't bother reviewing the clear red by the south african bloke yesterday.

Ref in the Wales game was hopeless, desperate not to give any yellows to the Welsh.

It's good that they're micced up and explain things but it's no better at getting things right than at the football World cup.

Rugby VAR is applied in a way that keeps the players and the people in the stadium informed.

In footy its just for the people watching on TV.

It is at United. There are no stadium video screens installed at Old Trafford to show replays. So all we get is a PA announcemnet telling us that the 'VAR check is complete'. Football has become a TV programme.

Not a fan of the dainty little yellow and red cards that rugby uses.

The ref was so desperate not to give Wales any yellows that he gave them a yellow...
