Sancho

Jadon Sancho has removed his post in response to Ten Hag's comments.

Once again, Ten Hag’s authority over the squad is maintained and Sancho realises he’s facked up. Let’s see if this is gonna fire him up with a point to prove. Idiot.

Still don't get how ten Hag is immune from criticism

On what? He does get criticism for certain things. He didn't do anything wrong with Sancho situation. What he said wasn't that bad and it wasn't like he was closing the door on him either.

I haven't been impressed with him ever since he arrived. He comes off the pitch sometimes and barely looks like he's broke a sweat or got his shorts dirty.

He's got the Pogba disease. Lazyitis.

I thought Pogba was excellent in the world cup winning team. He played a more defensive and disciplined role and did a very good job of it.

But he never really replicated that form for United on a regular basis. Certainly not in that particular role. And we all saw him regularly failing to put any real pressure on the ball when the opponents were in possession and failing to track runners. He was lazy for United. A good showing in a world cup tournament doesn't alter that.

We have brought in big talent after big talent into this club and they have failed, it is time we take a hard look at ourselves.

I'd argue that some of those big talents weren't as good as we thought/hoped. And some were disruptive to boot. That said, we have also been poorly managed at all levels. I don't think anyone needs to wake up to that fact. We have been discussing it for the best part of a decade.

Either way, that doesn't alter the fact that Pogba was regularly pretty lazy in a United shirt. I think he did cover a decent amount of ground, but for me he often seemed to be going through the motions when it came to pressing the opposition. There was no real desire to actually get the ball. And he frequently let runners go. The minimum that you should expect from a footballer is that they give 100% effort. Pogba didn't do that for me, which is a shame, as he had the technical attributes to be an amazing player. I just don't think that he had it mentally.

I'm really torn by this one. He is a shadow of the player from Dortmund, I really don't understand what has happened to him, the platform and talent is there. Could it also be another example of a player from the Bundesliga showing their true worth in a real league? Kagawa, Mikitarian come to mind, Hargreaves too although he's fall from grace was mainly down to injury.

If Sancho's performances are down to attitude and lack of professionalism then we need to get rid. Eth has given him enough rope, it is up to Sancho what he does with it, this outburst shows he lacks maturity, he lacks the right support network to align him closely with Eth's plans. The deletion of the outburst changes nothing for me, Eth will give him temporary reprieve with a January exit, no doubt, on his mind. Shame but we need serious players, we do not need more deadwood!
