in the Premiership. The Spurs juggernault rolls on. Not quite the 6-0 I predicted, but Spurs should have had a lot more than the two they scored, with a bit more composure near the penalty area.
Dominated the match, and it would have been a travesty had Sheffield United sneaked a win. In the end Spurs prevailed, because finally they have players that can come off the bench and change games, not just stand their like statues when the come on, has has been the case for a while now.
Marks out of 10
Vicario 7
Porro 7
Romero 7
Mickey Van 7
Udogie 7
Sarr 7
Bissouma 8
Maddison 7
Kulu 7
Solomon 7
Son 7
Richie 9
Johnson 7
Perisic 6
PEH 6
Emerson 6
Ange 8
Ref 2
All the players did their bit today, just the final ball was not quite there, but I thought Bissouma bossed the midfield, and he just carries the ball so well. The three in midfield this season is definitely the reason Spurs are doing so well. All three are top quality, and if one is not quite on it, the other two probably will be. Last season PEH and Skipp was such a poor combination, so was it any wonder the football was so dire.
Also the CBs both looks so confident. Romero has gone up a level on last season, and Micky Van looks absolute quality considering it is his first season in the Prem. In fact the whole team look so much more comfortable on the ball. All the silly mistakes seem to have been cut out. Vicario is looking a snip as a goalie, and looks so confident both with and without the ball. Made one great save today.
Next game the North London Derby. Spurs need to go over to the Emirates and get a statement win. Whole week to prepare. About time they won over there. How about now. Then Liverpool, whom I expect to comfortably beat. Then a run of reasonably easier games again.
Spurs should be in excellent shape for a title challenge with their one game a week, and the growing confidence of the squad to keep racking up wins.
This is shaping up to be a very exciting season, and all the negative nellies seem to be fast disappearing. Long may it continue. Oh and Kane is quickly being forgotten. It`s a team game, not a one man show.

Another win, the 4th on the trot

At last… someone else apart from Edinspur posting match ratings out of 10…. None of that childish Tom Carroll -1 nonsense…
Also it’s nice to read a decent, articulate account of the match…
Well done, Sandy đź‘Ť

Ok, Sandy - give yourself a pat on your back - self-patting is good for you
What is this title claim?
This is the type of stuff trolls love to hear.
I'd rather we go under the radar for this kind of bold predictions, and do our own thing and let other things take care of themselves.
We played well but like I said to your bold article yesterday before the game where you said we will win by 6-0 I told you I would take a 2-0 win, a more soberer result that's because life isn't FIFA or CM!
We did well, and we should celebrate but don't start talking about titles.
By the way, this is the best start for Spurs since 1965 , destroying any previous claims you ever made Sandy on Spurs of 60s. And neg has only been in charge for approx 4 months.
Can't wait for what else this team under Ange can do.
Take a bow Richy boy. As fans we need to give thse players a fresh new chance. Look at Richy, Kulu (fans slagging him in in-game) and PEH.
PEH was involved in the build-up of the second goal.
All the players are trying to do their best and as fans. we should support them. They are under an exciting manager so let's give them all a chance and back them!

Who are you referring to when you say negative Nellie’s? It had better not be me as I was one of the most active on the match thread yesterday.

Fridge you may not have been yesterday, but you have been absolute negative for a long time. Pre season you were full of doom and gloom. Wanted Poch back. Spurs absolutely dodged a bullet there.
So yes mate you were one of the negative nellies I referred to. All the Ante Levy and ENIC brigade seem to have gone a bit quiet as well.
Amazing what a few wins does to a fanbase.

We'll batter you boys like a piece of haddock. You've no chance at The Emirates. Saliba will mark Son out of the game.

The ante Levy & ENIC brigade are still here tirelessly campaigning for change actually, with likely another trophyless season we still have every reason to want Levy out, some decent results won`t change that.
The next 2 games will likely see dropped points, and then things might not be looking quite so rosy.

Saliba is a poor man's Eric Dier.

Billy, so every time Spurs drop a few points you want Levy out. How fickle is that?

----------------------------------------------------------------------No, I want Levy out full stop.
1 trophy in 23 years is simply unacceptable.

It is actually the opposite of fickle to stick to your beliefs no?
