I've heard him described as an agent of chaos, it's bang on the money if you ask me.
When he comes on, the ball inevitably ends up in dangerous areas and defenders are stretched/panicked.
I love it, the tenacity and guile just fits our club perfectly.
What are everyone eleae thoughts?
Darwin Nunez

Don't really rate Gakpo myself

Love him and slowly but surely his play is becoming more refined.
Watching him role that defender on the half turn and then accelerate away for our third goal was great.
Far prefer him to Gakpo.
Should hit 20 goals in all comps this season but it's another game he's changed from the bench.
Some lovely words from CR7 ab9ut him lately too.
We've a monster on our hands and I thoroughly enjoy watching him.

You really do have it in for Gakpo don’t you

He's alright but Darwin can score all the goals that Gakpo and Gakpo can't do the things Darwin does.
Also, Gakpo ain't great to watch.
Tbf Fred I remember you wanting Nunez out after about 2 months!

Nunez is still the most frustrating player I've seen in a very long time in a Liverpool shirt. Has all the attributes to be a world beater but sometimes just doesn't appear to have the brain to put it all together.
I prefer Gakpo of the two currently. A far more refined football player. Not sure we've really worked out how to play either to their strengths yet. I'd like to see Gakpo on the left and Nunez through the middle a couple of times maybe in EL games.
I think both have a big part to play but both have a huge ceiling. Nunez's is higher than Gakpo's but right now I'd back Gakpo to reach his more than I would Nunez.

Reminds me of adebayor. You probably see the best of him when Salah leaves.

Him and Salah link up brilliantly??

I mean he starts more games when Salah leaves.

Not sure why really but I'd start him more regardless, fitness permitting.

For the record I'd start him most games too. Can't see us getting the best out of him otherwise

I don't beleive the term is a compliment to the player.
I have seem many a player who is a real handful for the opponents and not be described as such.
He is not disruptive to our system of play and he has made linkages well with salah and diaz.
I think people grossly over emphasise the gakpo angle as hs is sort of similar to firmino in terms of press and work but the fact is he is a readically different player and far less skillful and insightful with the ball.
In short what gakpo offers cannot make up for the lack of goals. He's about a 1 in 4 player, so needs a lot more assists or bringing others i nthe the game.
IMO we need salah making goals and nunez feeding off trent by running behind.
Diaz Nunez salah is by far our best set of options.
nothing wrong with either jota or gakpo centrally but really we need them all firing.

Nunez ALWAYS seems to be involved in goals, assists or scoring...in 5 games we played so far he has been involved in key part of 3 of those games.
Hit post Vs villa causing a goal;
2 goals vs Newcastle and terrified their defence;
Turned the defender slipped in Salah for Elliott's goal Bs Wolves;
