What's everyone's current opinion?
I think we all rated him last season, but this year's poor start has seeded some doubts.
For myself I'm content, sure he does some things I disagree with, but so did SAF. It generally turned out he knew a lot more than me.
Erik inherited a stew of players, good, bad and indifferent, a seemingly unhappy dressing room. Big problems with Antony, Greenwood and Sancho, and of course Ronaldo.
Bearing all this in mind I think he's done at least okay, and probably better.
I'm not going to analyse good and bad, I'm not qualified, but I believe most of us will be happier by Christmas.

I agree Ten Hag has had a very raw deal, but unfortunately it's one more reason why I think he'll be gone soon.
I can see him leaving by mutual agreement, because the sooner he's gone the more chance he has of salvaging his reputation, and he'll be aware of that.

Then we go for De Zerbi or someone like that, start well, then things go downhill again and people want him sacked and around and around we go.

He ain't gonna choose to leave, he is at one of the biggest clubs in the world and I'm sure he has belief in his methods even if the club are a mess.

He's done well last season, but has he been any better than Ole? We've been here before. The Manager can only do so much. But the structure at United is all wrong. People talk about Brighton but there are reasons why they do well. We don't have the structure that supports continuity so any manager that comes in has to establish their way of playing. Then a new one comes in. If we can settle on what way we want to play and then get in head coaches who match. We also need to get the wage bill down. A bit like what Arsenal did. Short term sacrifices for long term gain. But this won't happen until the Glazers sell. And depending who comes in, and if they are willing, to make the right changes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What is the structure / roles that supports continuity?
We don't have the structure that supports continuity
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We can see foreplanning that city took whole they had Mancini. Arsenal is another who took a longer term approach. The United higher ups do not know what they are doing.

City put a lot of work in to get the world best manager in and keep him happy, yes, but I'm nit sure what it is you think Arsenal have done / are doing that we are not
