OK, so yet again we are hearing a story of fans going to Italy to watch some football and yet again we are hearing a story of a fan being stabbed.
There were incidents in Rome two years ago. A Liverpool fan was stabbed outside Anfield whilst playing Roma. There was an incident where Liverpool fans were stabbed in Naples a few years ago.
I know this was a while ago but there was game in Italy where a number of Manchester Utd fans were stabbed, 2007 I think. There was an incident in Rome in 2019 where a British football fan was stabbed after a match between Lazio and Sevilla.
I can find loads of stories relating to violence in Italy around football, the amount of stories about their "ultras" is just beyond belief.
If this was happening in the UK then UEFA would be all over it. When are the authorities going to start sanctioning countries for their fans behaviour ? I do not want to drag up actions of the past from UK fans, but here in the UK we have come a long way, it's a credit to the fans here, yet you get the feeling that UEFA are always just waiting for some idiot in the UK to do something then it's everywhere.
I know people will say it's a few stupid people and that is the case here, but on the continent, and Italy in particular it is more than a few idiots. You only have to see the contempt the British fans have to deal with on the continent by the way the French authorities treated the fans when LFC were in the final of the champions league a few years back.
How long does it have to go before there is something massive that happens ? It seems that other nations are miles behind the UK when it comes to dealing with violence around football.
Am I wrong here ?

Fans being stabbed and attacked in Italy, or like the City bus was at Anfield, with glass beer bottles thrown should all be punished I agree.
Ban them all

The Arsenal keeper was assaulted by some mug at White Elephant Lane recently and they haven’t even put fences up this season.
People will say Spurs fans are horrible muggy cants so it doesn’t matter, but it sets a precedent
