We all know what happened last time we visited City, although hopefully we’ll be slightly more competitive!
The squad’s changed a lot since then. Doku (the lad who ran us ragged for Rennes), Nunez (Wolves) and Gvardiol…the 100m odd CB (Leipzig). We’ve made one or two changes too 😉
This was our squad last time we played:
Henderson
Williams Worrall Kouyate McKenna Lodi
O’Brien Freuler Yates
MGW Johnson
You’d think we’ll fair a little better this time out!!
The Good: Aina, CHO, Turner.
The Bad: Montiel, way to many (forced) changes. A flat back 4 with McKenna and Worrall.
The Ugly: At least the ref got the handball right! Not much else really.
Special Mention: Has to be CHO’s finish and Yates for the wind-up 😂
Injuries:
Danilo looks set to miss out again.
Hopefully Aurier has recovered and Boly has got over his hay fever.
Team:
Turner
Aurier Worrall Boly Niakhate Aina
Sangare Yates
MGW CHO
Awoniyi
Subs: Vlachodimos, Felipe, Montiel, Tavares, Dominguez, Mangala, Elanga, Origi, Wood
Missing out:
Hennessy, McKenna, Murillo, Omobamidele, Toffolo, Williams, Aguilera, Kouyate and Santos.
Prediction:
Anything less than -3 GD would be nice. Thankfully they moved our fixture so City only get one days less rest.
Let’s just hope our players are back and we give a good account of ourselves.
3-1 to City.
COYRs!!!

Decent amount of possession from Forest but absolutely NO threat on goal.

Haaland misses open goal from 8 yards out, wow.

Going to be a big chunk of added time

City back in comfort mode, tbh we’ve huffed and puffed but offered absolutely nothing in front of goal. We had a real opportunity today to make a statement, but unfortunately we’ve been woeful in the last third again.
I’m more than happy if we only lose 2-0, as it doesn’t smash our goals against column, but i feel we could have done better.

Best two efforts from Forest were in added time.

Been looking at his MGW's reaction, it initially looked like a very late drop-to-the-floor from Rodri putting his hands round his neck, but slowing it down, it's a second grab or hit to the throat with his left hand I think which he reacted to which could well have hurt if it's in the Adam's apple - but maybe all this has been shown already on MOTD or something, I didn't watch it

I had to switch that off, I couldn't stand the M.C orifice licking going on. Did they even interview S.C ?
