Entertaining game. They took their goal well and the unfortunately named Glazer pulled off a string of great saves. I suppose the big talking point is Alvarez. He just gets better and better. Element of luck for his second - the keeper really should have had it - but the first goal, what an incredible piece of skill. I thought he'd carried it too wide, but the technique he used to hit the net was absolutely unbelievable. And don't even get me started on Ederson's Cruyff turn - I nearly soiled myself!
On a less happy note what the feck was going on with the turnstiles last night? I missed the first 10 minutes trying to get through the scrum at entrance C.

Thought a lot of our first touches in the first half were clumsy by City standards, certainly Mahrez would not have approved. Second half everything sharpened up and the link between Alvarez and Haaland is developing to be world class.

A re-run of the West Ham game in many respects.
How unlucky was Haaland? I'll be having a small wager on him to get a hat trick against Forest.

Let’s cover all bases, I’ll put money on Alverez, what a duo we have.

It certainly is. On Tuesday night there was a group from Spain near me. On Saturday I’m taking a couple of Canadians who broke their journey back home from France to see City. We are def going global.

I was impressed by Nunes, it is early days but most players making the step up to City struggle so the signs are good. Walker and Grealish for example clearly found it hard for the first season and Wolves are arguably a poorer team than Spurs and Villa were at the time, so he has certainly made a good start.

I think Grealish was a miss for us. Exciting though Doku is no one holds the ball up on that left side better than Jack. Glad to hear he’s back in training.
