I’m not particularly interested in Levy’s gaslighting, but for those who are.

"The frustration from not winning and the pressure from maybe some players and a large element of the fan base that we need to win, we need to spend money, we need to have a big manager, a big name. And it affected me."
Ahhhh. So it was our fault. Who knew?

That BS about how he had a list of TOP TOP name managers and he decided no, enough is enough, "we" need to get back to basics, and want our Spurs back, is priceless...Said it without even smirking!
Yeahg right...As if any other top manager would want this job anymore....
As it turned out, it was blessing in diguise, that no top manager wanted it, and we found Ange!
Nothing to do with you Levy!

The fact that he said “we nearly got there with Mauricio but fell short” but fails to acknowledge that he didn’t back this manager for 18 months and allowed the squad to go stale instead of capitalising on a position of strength - a repeated error Levy has made - is disingenuous and the fact that attendees are clapping him for saying “I want to win” is a joke, nothing but sycophants.
The fact is Levy and ENIC have always acted in a way that they are prepared to go so far - typically, far enough to be in the CL and enjoy the revenue they want - but never far enough to show the genuine ambition needed to take the next step.
Saying “I want to win” and maybe appointing ‘winning’ coaches was wrong and we need to take a longer route to winning? We haven’t won anything for 15 years, how long a route are we talking about here Levy? Men will be walking on Mars before we win anything under this lot and even if we do it would be a one off and not sustained success because they simply aren’t ambitious enough in the way they run the club.
He’s also passing the buck on feeling pressured into appointing Jose, but as far as I recall he was the one that had a hard on for Jose for years and a large section of the fanbase didn’t want him because he was washed up and ex-Chelsea.
These events are a joke, Levy deserves to be hauled over the coals for some of his decision making dating back to lack of transfers from Jan 2018 to August 2019, to furlough, ESL, sacking Jose 6 days before a final, 6 months in the last 2 years without a permanent manager, lack of due diligence on the Paratici and Munn situations, general lack of communication from the club (have they appointed the fans to the board they promised after ESL yet), increase in ticket prices, the concessions issue that is stuffing loyal fans over tourists and the Joe Lewis situation and current accountability structure within the club.
But instead we get fickle sycophants applauding his platitudes and the ‘we’ve got our Tottenham back’ bollox because the new manager has had a good first 5 games. That’s all he needs to feel empowered and continue his dictatorial but ultimately failed leadership of the club.

He talks about making mistakes with the previous managerial appointments but it's really worrying to think that when you go and get Jose who was clearly the wrong fit, you then go and get Nuno, who wasn't any sort of fit (not a "win now" manager or someone playing good football) and then defensive Conte who still fits the same mould as Jose, only is currently a better version. So you don't learn from the first mistake, you go and make 2 more?
I still don't have faith in Levy. He's a guy that while capable of pulling out a good decision every so often, doesn't learn enough from his mistakes. We saw that during the summer transfer window. I have a bad feeling Ange and the fans will be let down eventually. All we can do is enjoy the ride while it's going good and hope we make the most of it.

The guy will see if Ange as well - you mark my words.
Ange seems great, but we will fall short and rather than be backed he will be left unsupported at a crucial juncture and that will ultimately lead to him leaving or being sacked at a later date.
Levy won’t change, of that I am absolutely certain.
Just going to enjoy the good times with Ange now, but expect the worst in the long run, I don’t know how any Spurs fan can think differently to that these days
