Travel to Southampton from the Bath Area

Morning Folks,

Years and years since I've posted anything on here!!

At least now we're back in the championship, it's a bit easier to get tickets. One of my lads is going off to Bath Uni this weekend, but has managed to get a ticket to the Southampton game on the 30th. Other than when we have been with the home fans, this is his first away game.

He bought himself a train ticket, despite the strike, but the services seem to be disappearing. The train he was booked on has been cancelled and more cancellations are expected.

Anyone got any advice on his best options to get there? Not sure if there is a Bath whites club, or if anyone will travel past the area on route with space in the car.

Obviously he'll pay his way.

Thanks in anticipation

Rent a car, drop it off at Southampton airport and make your way in from there.

Thanks - something he can look at, though he's 18 and only had his licence just over a year - so renting a car might be tricky.

Put towel on radiator, get out on to mat on floor. Dry self. Put on dressing gown, go and get dressed. Leave front door. Travel to Southampton from wherever in the country you are based. Hope that helps.

Concise and clear instructions

According to Google Maps it is only 63 miles down the A36. Put your team shirt on and hitch-hike. There's bound to be some of your lot driving there.

Their is a coach service between Bath and Southampton which is pretty regular and reasonable.
Or else do as the man said, put your thumb up and hitch hike, which I always did when I was younger !
