Excellent performance and deserved win for Leeds.
Defence solid another clean sheet. Byram proving to be the solution to the left back weakness of recent seasons and a thumping header for his goal. Shackleton doing a great job on the right.
James bombing down the wing and getting some superb crosses in. Watford couldn't live with his pace.
Piroe doing what Piroe does and scoring again.
Farke is getting a tune out of Rutter who provided a sublime contributionfor 2 of the goals. Collecting the ball deep surging forward brushing off opposition challenges then making laser accurate passes. Great stuff.
If this match is typifies what is to come from Leeds we can look forward to a memorable season.
Thoughts On Leeds 3-0 Watford

They'll be teams queing up for Summerville and Gnonto. Rutter and Ampadu will have admirers for sure. Jan is bigger in regards to keeping players than adding them imo. Don't think we need too many additions anyway.

Great performance, great result, but way too early to be talking about winning this league. We're not even in October. If any team has the ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, it's us. Have we not learned our lesson? Let's just quietly go our way. A greasy 1-0 win gets just as many points as a five-star routing of a competitor.

I expect a lot of those types of wins to go along with our blowouts. We just had two greasy 0-0's

Great that we have depth throughout the squad. If someone is injured its not a crisis.

This could be our turning point and a complete new world we have to learn to master!..
Something new to get used to!.

So many unpatiant fans on social media thought we should have come flying out of the blocks even though we didn't have our team set.
Now we have no excuse, we are the class of the division.
So happy meslier has got his mojo back. He's so calm and collected on the ball.
Rutter, Summerville, James, Piroe are just too good. Throw in that little guy and we're awesome.
4 clean sheets in a row, wow.
Did we get 4 last year?
With what can be described as our second string backline besides maybe byrum were not giving up too many good chances.
And to think we still have Bamford to come back.

I think Bamford may have a part to play yet. If, big if, he can get any level of fitness, then he might compliment the likes of Piroe etc..... Finisher he may not be, but he holds up and brings others into play well. Difference this season is he's not a shoe in to play by any means ... he'll have to work for it.

To be fair to Archer that was one deal that couldnt be done due to the ownership issues as Villa wanted cash up front,

I reckon the only way Bamford gets any game time is in case of injuries to either Piroe or Rutter. Even then it depends on him being fit himself, which he rarely is.

To have a good chance of promotion Leeds could do with a little more cover at left back. Now Leeds can introduce substitutes when the opposition is tiring which can affect the outcome of the game. The club has at least two players for each position, with the exception of left-back.

There was a couple of podcasters that seemed to think Farke was wrong in what he said about rutter after the Watford game.
Myself didn't see anything at all wrong and in fact thought Farke praised him and just told him he has to be careful where and when he does his tricks.
I mentioned to my friend at the time if the score was 5-0 at the time Rutter could have been taken out soon afterword with a bad late tackle.
