Cheers Scouse.
Explains why I was looking at free agents last night. Longstaff still available ( is he really that bad that no EFL team would sign him?)
A long stretch I know but with Andros Townsend deal falling through at Burnley should we make an attempt or us it a no thanks ?
There are some reasonably above average/ good players available. Dutch lad Ritchie Musaba did well in Dutch second division but last 2 seasons lost his way, Mohamed Bahlouli French/ Algerian descent, was on Sampdoria's books two seasons ago.
Joachim Carcela-Gonzalez Belgium player again had a good season but drifted away.
More established, Luke Freeman is currently available, has done reasonably well in Championship and was involved in Luton's promotion campaign having played 26 times.

Reading that we have to keep paying his wages until the end of the contract which seems an odd way to do business. If you rent something and it goes wrong the renter either has to end the contract or provide a replacement of similar quality. Don't see why footballers should be an exception to this.

Just to let you know Spart as it wasn't included in your comments, it's only until Jan that we're required to pay and it's a % of his salary.
Yes it doesn't come across as great business to be paying for an injured loanee but thars what the two clubs agreed and legally signed up to.
Don't forget we were lumbered with a crocked Danny Mills and had to continue paying Man City his entire salary whilst he recovered with the parent club.
