With Chilwell injury not sounding great does this mean we're stuck wasting colwill at LB for the foreseeable future or will poch give maatsen a chance ? So far poch has used maatsen in an attacking sense so I'm not too sure what will happen with this one. My gut feeling is colwill will get the nod which is slightly disappointing given how good he looked at CB the other night. The other option is cucurella, credit were its due he looked good at RB the other day and with gusto still banned and James coming back from injury I think he may be utilised there for the Fulham game at least

Cucurella was average at best and that's being kind.
Still has lamentable footwork when faced with 1-on-1 challenge...no coordination, extremely flat-footed, put himself about showing energy thats about it, had to be bailed out on several occasions against Brighton.
Routinely got played around and played off far too easily, a lesson in how not to defend.
Fortunately Ugochukwu (+ Maatsen) was rather impressing at watching developments unfold and was able to read the situation - https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1707820432919773184/pu/vid/avc1/1280x720/SOQEjw-vchOSqJUL.mp4?tag=12
One of many instances of cleaning up mess created. Willian and co. will have a field day on the left against him.
Starts to becomes increasingly evident why he stayed over Santos.
Under no circumstances should Cucurella starting.
Maatsen the outstanding option.
