Is this the most embarrassing moment for VAR yet?
It has been clearer than ever for years that the PGMOL is the most corrupt organisation in football, it’s so obvious now that it’s embarrassing so called football experts don’t raise the issue. The eternity they took to release a statement last night (time that they spent every second possible looking at ways to justify the ‘significant human error’) is all the proof you need of corruption.
How many more scandalous, outrageous decisions must be made until there is some sort of investigation?
Diaz Offside

So the VAR team watched Diaz cut his celebration and heard the Spurs crowd sarcastically cheer and thought a goal had been given?
Do we need them to be drink/drug tested before each game?

I don-t want to comment on the red cards as you can see both sides, and I don't want to enter a debate that depends on opinion rather than fact. But I think that everyone, whoever they support, has to acknowledge that VAR is supposed to guard against what happened at Spurs yesterday. A clear onside goal ruled out. It wasn't even a close call and is just unacceptabe.
Now, my less rational side.... Getting pssed off with VAR making purely subjective decisions and ruining games. Jones yesteray, Gusto last week, not interfering when yellows are not merited, interfering when reds are harsh ... what's the point??? We all want player safety, we all want players sticking to the rules and fair play. But want we all want most is fairness and a level playing field. This is what VAR was brought in to safeguard but it is not doing that, So what's the point? The season has just started and we have penalties and red cards being given by VAR which are nonsense. It has to end!!

even if the var ref thought he was just confirming the goal was onside and good..
the ball is then put down for the play to restart from the offside position.. not the centre circle...
does that not raise a single bloody idea in the var ref's mind that something is wrong here?.. and tell the ref to wait.. and then double check what was supposed to be happening
the whole game.. reffing and var, was just errors and incompetence on top of errors and more incompetence..
they shouldn't just be removed from overseeing the next couple of rounds of premier league games.. based on this level of inability, they should never be allowed in charge of another game.

Unfortunately, the weird rule says as soon as spurs take the free kick it can't be revisited so by the time VAR will have realised that it's been given as a free kick it's probably too late.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No it's not. When did you realize the error yourself? Was it after Spurs had taken the free kick?
I didn't think so.

The error was as obvious as the day is long by looking at where Diaz was stood... without even entertaining the need for VAR lines.... The otter incompetence displayed by the var team is staggering

There's simply no reasonable explanation and this is why I personally prefer VAR because it's gonna keep exposing them and sooner or later they're gonna run out of excuses. Something's gotta give.

I was watching at an angle and on a date, and I could clearly see he was on side...
Even the Spurs fans in the pub were like WTF?

Was the angle bent at 90 degrees over the table by your date?

The only reason the Gooonies are upset about VAR now is because Spurs are above them in the league!
Arsenal have been very fortunate with VAR themselves
