It’s not only that though, it’s how the money is spent. It’s like we’re a kid in a candy store.

£70m for a right winger with no pace and no right foot? No problem.

£60m for a player who doesn’t fit our system, Chelsea are desperate to offload AND will be free in a year anyway? Sure thing.

£50m for a keeper who was free last year, can pass it really nicely to his centre back, but he can’t actually save any shots? Where do we sign?

It’s absolute lunacy. Any other business wouldn’t allow these practices to happen year after year.
