Only took 15 attempts, but we have finally beaten Manchester City in the league!!
Thankfully the ref will not be the major talking point now, but Gabriel Martinelli will. As soon as he came on he looked energised and up for it, something largely missing from the first half.
Apart from a chance early doors, City couldn't get close to our goal - another fabulous performance from our CBs Saliba and Gabriel. Obviously Rice was top drawer again, and Jorginho played his role to help stop City.
Tomiyasu and Havertz combination to set up the goal . Yeah, it took a deflection, but we deserved the bit of luck.
Would be nice if Rodri and KdB sit out the return as well, City obviously are nowhere near as good without those.
Time for an international break. Hopefully Saka gets two weeks off and there is no late call up for Martinelli.
FINALLY!!!!

Southgate will probably have Saka out there with crutches.

Thoroughly deserved
Not sure if we were poor or Arsenal made it look like it,clearly wanted it more
Michael Oliver utterly shameful refereeing
Cowards option not to send off Kovacic, clear as day where I was stood

City were a shambles. They got what they deserved. Kovacic could easily have been carded for the first foul. Should have definitely seen a second yellow for the second offence. Poor all round from City and the referee.

Nice honesty from the City fans here.
I didn't think you were a shambles overall but looked unusually impotent going forward. Having said that if Rice doesn't clear the one off the line in the first few minutes it could have been a totally different game.
Equally if you go down to 10 midway through the first half it's a different game too.

Lovely build up for the goal by all 4 subs.
Special mention goes out to Tomiyasu. How on earth did he find himself so far up the pitch?

Brilliant to finally beat them! What the feck was going on with the ref though (and VAR), need sacking.
