So up to now its been SIX MONTHS since he last played a game, for all he brings it is no good if he cant get onto the pitch. The guy appears to be in the same mould as Keita and AOC, I.e....made of fkn paper that just keeps tearing apart.
We have seen far too many times that a deep squad is utterly pointless if that squad sits on the treatment table, it's best to exchange for even a lesser player but at least one that can fkn play!
Consider Szlob and Macallister....consistently available, and what a difference it makes. Imo let's get to January buy the Andre fella and jettison Thiago, it will make us stronger. That would the last of the sick notes gone:
AOC
Thiago
Keita
Nothing against them, great when they play and I am sure really decent guys, but completely unreliable...which is the opposite of what you need in football.
Thiago Alcantara.

Quality player but it was obvious well before he signed from Liverpool that he’s a crock. He’s reached 30 league games in a season once in his career.
Bayern generally know when to sell. How many players have left Bayern this century and gone on to be a genuine success at another big club.
Kroos is the one I can think off. Ballack I suppose. Arguably Lewandowski but while still a good goalscorer he’s past his very best. Letting him go at his age and buying Kane a year later was smart business.
Generally like Real Madrid, buying from Bayern isn’t smart business.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bayern wanted him to stay.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think I remember reading when he left Bayern that they were intending using him as a squad player due to his injury history? Could be wrong? Think Liverpool wanted him as a starter and he wanted the move, he's a great player but sad that he just cannot seem to avoid injuries
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah you're wrong. They tried everything to get him to stay but he wanted a new challenge.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
? I know they wanted him to stay but he wanted to go to Liverpool, honestly not sure what is wrong with what I said? Liverpool were the option he wanted and took
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was referring to where you made up the part that Bayern wanted to use Thiago as a squad player.

He’s always been injury prone but it’s got worse- he is as bad as Keita now.

Of all the midfielders Liverpool had since 1990, Oxlade Chamberlain and Kieta rock up and nab Premier League winners medals.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And...what's ur point here?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Guessing that it feels a little undeserved that two crocks who contributed next to nothing won a PL medal while many of your all time greats didn't?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah that's exactly what I meant. Sorry I'm late back to this but with me being Welsh I got blitzed yesterday, would have happened win or lose.

Fantastic player, he’s worth keeping for the limited amount of games he can play. Had a chance to push off to Saudi with a sackful of cash but decided to stay. Top player and professional. I think he would make an excellent coach / manager in the future as well.

Reds, I honestly remember reading somewhere they said something similar about "squad status" they defo wanted to keep him but he wanted the Liverpool move, I've no axe to grind here and have zero idea of the veracity of the info, it was probably on one of those sketchy web sites
