I *loved* Pearl Jam around 1993-4 more than I've loved any band before or since. But for some reason I could never get my head round Black as a song. Only song on Ten that's not a banger, in my opinion. I just find it a bit boring. I know this will see me excommunicated from the church of Robb.

I don’t agree with the OP on much but that sure is a great live performance of Black.

I’ve seen it played live and every time a little different but brilliant.
