Romero came off injured for Argentina.
Now is the time for Dier to shine

This is a process. Players out Players in. We now have a have good 13 or 14 players. We need maybe another 3 or 4 to be strong with depth and I'd hope that 1 or 2 this January is possible.
But let's not start with all the finger pointing, there are many reasons that contribute to getting new players In and that includes getting players out first.
With regard to Dier, whatever you think about him he has always been a committed and loyal player and whatever his reasons for not going, I think it's pathetic of any Spurs fan to start abusing him. He doesn't deserve that. The guy is a human being and will have his own reasons for staying and not moving on. Its not like someone like Ndombele who is clearly a mercenary not prepared to out the effort or commitment in

It's VERY early for Ange and whatever changes he might want to make with the playing squad? He's set the players he has up in such a way that, and let's not doubt it, has you playing far better football?
He was always going to me need a bit time to make the changes with both the system and squad, the players that have came in Maddison etc have been great and the improvements in the system and style have also been superb so another 12-18 months and you might imagine where you could be by then?
Of course it's a lottery at times but another too DC would negate this kinda worry but where you want to be will take some time, obvs imo only

Careful, some of our fans on here will be calling you a casual racist for that post.

I think it's perfectly reasonable as a fan to want Dier to move on. I don't hate him or anything but it's pretty clear he's not going to play and is only sticking around to benefit himself.

Dier has been dead to me for years. Let him rot.
Phillips over him every day.
Celebrate when Dier leaves

I absolutely agree.
He is like so many of our squad up until recently, in that he's a bit of a relic from a more successful time. He and Lloris have served the club very well but have stayed too long and that is not necessarily their fault.
I am pleased that we do not have to rely on him much and hope he gets whatever move he wants for him and his new wife....I heard somewhere that he would like to move abroad, may be back to Portugal where it began for him, and that can only really happen if he gets a free deal out of Spurs. So fair play to him. He has his contract, he's an honest player. Go well Eric !

A very fair and decent outlook on Dier. Football fans often forget that players are human beings and see them purely as commodities or assets.

I find it very difficult to read the comments back on here, especially if they're more than a couple of lines.
Just checking in to see if anyone has laughed at my 'jealous?' joke yet?
Think is was on this thread.
Anyone know about this?
Thanks.
