Got away with that one they were poor for two thirds of the game. If ever Chelsea were gonna beat us that was it but as we know Pochettino is a bottle job. Arteta keeps on saying that the goalkeeper position is the same as every other position if the player currently playing is not playing well he will get replaced so in that case I expect to see Ramsdale back in goal in midweek. Interesting to see Smith-Rowe come on before Havertz maybe Arteta will finally give him a go in that position.

Half the team had been changed at that point to attribute that to just Smith-Rowe ain't really fair to be honest.

Got the midfield massively wrong. Can understand it against City - even though they were very weakened in that area - but against Chelsea it is giving up the game.
Rice has to play DM. End of story.

He made more of a contribution than Odegaard managed.

Arteta needs to admit that he has made huge mistakes over Raya , Havertz and Balogun. Ramsdale is far better than Raya. Havertz and Nketiah are hopeless. ESR needs more minutes and Partey needs to start if fit. We really haven’t clicked this season. Got away with so many poor performances.

Correct, best players on the pitch. Stop trying to be too clever and get the simple decisions right. Sadly some of our fans are singing from the same hymn sheet as Arteta on this (the one that is upside down), apparently enjoy the smell of his s|-|it and seem to think they are far cleverer than they really are.
