Got away massively with that one but dragging games back after stinking the place out for most of the time is a good trait to have. Onto the main topic if Arteta is a man of his word then I would expect to see Ramsdale back in the team. Raya's cost us a goal with poor positioning and could so easily of gifted another one away. This isn't an isolated problem, I did think Raya was a really good keeper always seemed very solid at Brentford. Maybe Arsenal is too big for him. The important thing is that Arteta swallows his pride and bring Ramsdale back into the team.
Ramsdale back in then

Lots of people told me he was better than ramsdale

Raya was supposed to be assured playing from the back, ever since that Lens game I haven't been convinced. Arteta is so stubborn, he will keep playing him

Totally agree Ive not yet seen Reya put in a full 90 minute convincing display, Ramsdale should never have been dropped and needs to be reinstated now
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We all know thats not going to happen. Arteta made his choice, he's not going to drop Raya then reinstate him again if Ramsdale makes a mistake. Raya is the number one now people need to stop feeding into pundit's media narratives.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arteta said it himself that he sees the goalkeeper interchangeable like any other player, now is the time to see him put his money where his mouth is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It seems to me that when he said that he meant based on tactics not necessarily mistakes made in a game. He obviously expects Raya to make mistakes because of what he's asking him to do on the pitch so I doubt he's going to drop him for a cheating penalty and a miss hit cross ending up in the back of the net. But we shall see what he does.

Arteta made a rod for his own back by saying that he saw the goalkeeping position as being fluid and even suggested changing the goalkeeper in game so he's put pressure on Raya in that every action is going to be looked at under a microscope. We have to be fair in the assessment of him and he doesn't seem up to it and that's not based off this game it's off a number of uncertain performances. All performances need to be taken into account today it cost us something where as the previous game his uncertainty didn't cost points but that shouldn't be forgotten.

Fair enough but I do not think Arteta will drop him unless we lose.

I don't dislike Raya, but yes, if Arteta is true to his word then two absolute clangers in a game from Raya should see Ramsdale return for the next game.

I think if Ramsdale doesn't come back in then it doesn't set a great message for the squad. Anywhere else on the pitch and you get dropped if you don't perform and Raya was supposedly brought in to add to the competition, so the rules shouldn't be any different.
I understand that with the nature of the way he plays he's more likely to make certain mistakes, but he's been making all kinds of mistakes and you wouldn't see them this regularly from Alisson, Ederson etc.
Ramsdale deserves a chance to take the spot back

Arteta's argument to all this will be that Raya hasn't made any glaring mistakes that led directly to a goal. Unless we are counting the cross fluke goal as a mistake which is one of those that is always likely to catch out any keeper.

He has though. Gave the ball to Lens which led to them scoring.
And a manager shouldn't be making that argument, if it's been nothing but luck meaning his mistakes haven't cost so badly (e.g. the Alvarez one). Arteta should know that we won't keep getting away with it.
Having said that, I will give credit to Raya for tidying up his mess when he gave that ball away yesterday. Plenty of keepers dive in there and take out the player, giving a penalty (and red maybe, can't remember the rule).

I thought he was at fault for one of the Spurs goals too
