Once again the referees showed complete and utter ineptitude when it comes to applying the laws of soccer when it involves LFC.
Ashley Young
- Trips Dias.
- Kicks ball away. NO
- Scythes down Dias.
The tackle made by Young on Dias was reckless and could have resulted in a serious injury. Fortunately it seems we got away with one there but it could have been avoided if the referee had applied the letter of the law to Young and booked him for kicking the ball away.
The FA’s own law states
Referees must caution players who delay the restart of play by:
kicking or carrying the ball away, or provoking a confrontation by deliberately touching the ball after the referee has stopped play
It may be subtle but it once again is another decision that goes against us which could have had catastrophic consequences.

when jota got booked for running nearly a guy who tripped himself up and vvd got sent off for making a tackle I think it's safe to say that Ashley Young made two very clear yellow tackles but we are all amazed he actually got even 1 yellow never mind 2.
