Renewed respect for the Premier League

With our players and fans having no European football yet arguably enjoying some of the best atmosphere and feel good around the club in recent times, has this restored a bit more respect for the league.

We constantly hear people talk about champs league like its the only way to enjoy football but I think this season shows that watching your team play good football has been a forgotten love, especially at Spurs.

I'm not dismissing the champs league but even the players must realise the difference between playing boring football in champs league and playing progressive football in the prem.

Hopefully we develop a squad that can play high pressure football twice a week without a noticeable dip in quality.

After being told by so many journalists/pundits that we'd employed a manager who was totally out of his depth and would be lost without our best player isn't it great to be sticking two fingers up to those t0ssers.

Long may it continue especially as you just know that the majority of the media and supporters of our rivals are so desperate to see the wheels come off.

Ange and the boys are making alot of folk (who thoroughly deserve it) look very stupid and I love it.

I think most Spurs fans are just overwhelmed by the joy of enjoying watching their team play. We have been denied it for so long that the fall out is one of delirium.

My SOn asked me whether i thought we'd get top 4 and i honestly felt that i didnt care. While i will probably care a lot more come March if we are still in contention, right now the sense is one of purely enjoying the moment and seeing what it brings without real expectation.

Dark have been my dreams of late but I feel as one new-awakened.

I have to admit I thought I would miss European football this season, but not missed it one iota. When I started football there was no European football, unless you won the league, so back to the old days for me.

I mean you've only been in the cl 7 times in your history so it should be the norm for you.
Europa doesn't get good until the last few rounds.

Literally every football fan wants to see their team lift trophies but if that's unattainable then obviously lovely football is the next best thing

Fairly easy to take this view considering the start to the season we've had.

I kind of do miss the European nights. Hearing the Champions League music at The Lane is always a special moment and those nights have created some really special memories for me, And some terrible ones!

I'm enjoying this season though. It feels far less stressful and it's nice coming on here and not having to hear all the moans we had over the summer.

European football can only be good for the club so we should strive for it.

We had UCL last season, although it is almost easy to forget we did. But just goes to show that it is not critical to enjoying supporting ones club, at least in the short term.

Like the CL is any different? The winners and runners up of every group is virtually known before a ball is kicked. Then the first knockout round is totally predictable. You may get a good game or two from the quarters onwards.

Personally from a football perspective I dont give a damn if we are in the CL or not, I think its drastically overated and dont like seeded competitions at all.

Obviously I know financially that is important and football wise it can attract players but as for the competition itself I could not care one way or another.

The only thing I like about it, or any other european competition, is that I get to watch Spurs more often over the course of a season and of course the bragging rites. Other than that I dont give a rats ass for the CL or the Europa personally.

I just think its an overhyped business venture rather watch a prem game any day.

I do miss the CL, it’s fantastic and it’s where the club absolutely have to be, at least financially.

Europa and the farmers - no thanks, the one black mark against Ange is that he has already shown disdain for the winnable trophies with that League cup line up - so watching us toil away with Gil, Veliz, Dire, etc against sides with a 1000th of our budget does not interest me
