Scotland MUST win in Spain

Scotland's win tonight was far from impressive, a workmanlike performance
against one of the lowest ranked European sides.
Most are banking on Scotland to get the same result in Spain as the Czech
Republic get in Lithuania to reach the play offs. However, due to a couple of outrageous results in Group C (Northern Ireland's) Scotland can only make the play offs by beating Spain in Alicante or hope for a peverse result
in Turkey not beating Azerbaijan at home.
To be in the play offs Scotland need to be one of the eight top ranked Runners Up. If we win 14 points no problems, if we draw 12 points we cannot match ROI/Armenia, Croatia, Sweden, France/Bosnia or
Denmark/France we would have the same number of points as
Montenegro but an inferior goal difference, in group C if Serbia win in Slovenia we cannot catch them, if they lose or draw, Estonia will finish second and have 16 points but as they lost in the Faroes they would only drop 3 points giving them 13. So that leaves only one route to the play offs
Belguim lose in Germany and Turkey fail to beat Azerbaijan.

So to ensure we are not the ninth ranked Runner Up we would need to beat Spain, anything else we leave to fate and three results going our way the two above AND Lithuania beating the Czech Republic.
