Please help get this over the line

We lost a lovely friend to this awful disease last year. She was 48 years old and as fit as a fiddle. Nobody is immune to cancer unfortunately.

Anyway - they need 100k signatures by the end of today. They are about 9k short.

Please sign it and share it with whoever you can. I’m sure we can get the required signatures today do that this will have to be discussed by Parliament.

Cheers everyone,

Only posting this so it gets bumped up the “most recent comment” thingy.
Hopefully everyone who sees it signs it.

Thanks everyone. Seems I might have miscalculated but hopefully they will get the numbers.

Paula was 47 when she was diagnosed. She was out running with friends and had an awful “migraine”. She had run a couple of marathons, loved skiing and was probably the fittest person we knew.

They operated and said they had removed the tumour fully but did warn that 90% return within five years. So she made plans to enjoy the time she had left.

Unfortunately that five years became one year and she died just over a year ago. Her young daughter had just finished uni and left her job to care for her full time. She was so affected by it that she went on to become a nurse and is now working at York Hospital. Her mum would be so proud of her.

Her hubby is a good friend of mine as well and is a Leeds supporter. So he’s part of the Leeds family too.

Thanks again and my thoughts are with those of you who have had first hand experience of this awful disease.
