BoJo effectively thought, let the old people deal with Covid if it meant everyone else can get on with their lives

Weren't the old people the ones that voted him in in the first place?

Although it would never happen, I’ve always thought it would be a good idea to weight your vote based on age, so let’s say an 18 year olds vote is worth 1 whereas a 80 year olds is worth 0.5.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Could do the same thing for M&F, B&W etc. It would be interesting but what it proves Im not sure.

Labour would win a landslide.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If it were a Senedd election here and only 16-25yo were allowed to vote then I think Plaid Cymru would run Labour very close if not even win. A lot in that age bracket are pro-independence.

On Covid I think our government here also acted with a bit more compassion than the UK Gov did for England. Even if some of the rules did seem OTT.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah but it’s England that elect the government. Based on voting intentions and historic voting patterns then Labour would win a landslide within the age bracket mentioned.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know. I doubt the Tories would get any seats here in a UK election.

Would be interesting to see how many they got in the last election in that age bracket. I know it was low UK wide but haven’t seen the stats for Wales.

Facebook algorithms have captured the over 65+ group for Reform UK.

Boris wanted to kill the only age group that could keep them in power.

Yeah I’ve seen that, Barry. Mistake on my point, I actually meant votes not seats.

I'd think it would be tragically (or should that be thankfully!) low. I've seen polls in the past for the young vote with the Tories behind the Greens and Lib Dems. I'll try to find them later on.

Let the 18 to 25's be the only age group elligibile to vote next election. The rest of us don't deserve to vote
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Speak for yourself. I’ve never voted for these cuuuunts.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I have voted in every election since 1965, other than one in the 1970s when I was working abroad. And I pride myself on never having put my X next to a Conservative candidate.

And I shall be carrying on with my proud tradition in any forthcoming elections.
