I watched the young lad play in person, don't think I've ever been more impressed by a youth level player.
It's always great to see local players come through regardless of club. Are there hogh hopes for him and which other young players are ones to watch?
Ben Doak at Liverpool is a brilliant talent also

Will keep an eye out for Shea Lacy also
I obviously am no lover of United but recent world events make you look at things through a different lens....
Speaking of Mason Greenwood. He used to train With his dad on a pitch in West Bowling, Bradford. They'd do drill after drill after drill........finish after finish. I think he would have been one if England's best, his shooting and confidence reminded me a lot of Steven Gerrard.

Such a waste of a talent for us United fans. We've seen it with Ravel and Pogba too. And I always had high hopes for Rossi and felt he didn't get a fair chance. Just shows you can never be certain which youngsters will progress as expected/hoped.

I know you don’t like Antony but he doesn’t disjoint the team like the other 2 do. He doesn’t do enough in possession but he’s more likely to keep the ball.
Bruno and Rashford are only outfield common denominators in our 13 pretty poor performances this season and sat out our only good performance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We've been over this a thousand times. He keeps the ball better because all he ever does is pas it sideways and backwards. That's not a compliment. It's cowardly. He offers nothing. The other two frustrate the life out of me too but they are always trying to create. Sometimes too often I agree but Antony doesn't even try.
He's just not very good. You need to come to terms with it.

I have come to terms with it.
Sometimes you need to take the safe option.
Look at City’s 2nd goal on Sunday. We ended the 1st half looking a bit dangerous and your thinking at least keep it at 0-1 for a while.
Bruno gets the ball on the right side a few mins into the half, tries a low percentage ball that nowhere near finds its target, City go down the other end and score. Game over.
Gvardiol was also afforded the freedom of OT to progress play from the left hand side.

Literally the same thing as Pellestri yet you all seem to have issue with him

If you are good enough, you are old enough. That's my policy.

Agree, with the caveat that sometimes youngsters aren't good enough until they got older. Fergie, an advocate of that philosophy, didn't give Beckham or Scholes serious minutes until they were 20 years old. Before that they weren't "good enough" to play, but not in the sense of lacking the talent.
A player needs to reach a certain level of physical and, I guess, emotional development to be ready for first team football in order to thrive, and sometimes being dropped into the senior squad isn't the right thing for the player, or the shortest path to developing them.

The club will need to abandon its policy of top 4 / CL qualification or you're out if we are to see a revolution with the youth players.
I can't see them doing it. The Glazers need us to be in the CL every other year at the minimum just to keep up the sponsorship money if nothing else.
I suspect we will see more of the same tonight. Erik won't risk playing loads of kids.

Agree to all but 96 is not 2023. It may not be fair but they are now trained through the fire of games. City, liverpool are readily playing their talents at 17 and 18, regularly trying to make sure they know what it's like to play at a high level. If they make it through they are almost always star talent who even not good enough can be sold for a sizable amount. Many at Bayern, la masia, even following the same policies.
I may be delusional but I believe we have one of the best youth system in the world. We can do the same and be able to get what other teams get.

We should have one of the best in the world but at youth level we have been lagging behind Chelsea and City for a decade: in terms of investment in facilities, recruitment of talent, and achievement. Yet another example of Glazer complacency and disinterest in the sporting elements of their cash cow.
We have a correlation / causation question here. City and Liverpool are fielding some academy players at young ages, but are they succeeding because they are getting first team experience, or are they getting first team experience because they are exceptional players - and exceptions to the rule? Certainly, both sides are keeping a larger number of academy players at youth level or farming them out on loan than the handful who are getting time in the senior squad. Foden made the jump to senior squad at a young age; Sancho (regarded as a talent of similar level at the same age, whatever our views of him now) felt he needed to leave the club in order to taste senior football. Ultimately, it comes down to whether the managers think players are both exceptional and ready for it.
