Firstly, Yesterday I found myself at Northampton vs Crawley (In the Away End) and as terrible as that was, I had my eyes on George ALL game. I know some of you may have watched it on telly, but it's different live as I'm sure you all know and his movement and positioning is second to none.
He has a future here, I can sense it.
Anyways, Oldham, last year it was a toughie but BRAVE effort by the lads and we won 2-1 with a proud performance by our Youtuh team. It was a grand day out, their fans were top banter and we secured Posh in the Playoffs, so it was a fun trip apart from the coach home which even THAT turned into a fun-un.
This of course is a different matter, still unaware if I'll be going but none the less it's on the telly so I may have to just watch it anyways , and in my opinion this game is a pressure situation for us, a week and a day off, after two great results is not what we needed for the team I'd imagine.
We've got back on form, players looking like they actually are serious about this promotion bid we're apparently competing in and we've had a mighty start to the season scoring loadsa goals. Here's hoping for a good result.
Sky games are usually dull, I call Oldham 0-1 MK Dons
Chadwick, 43rd Minute.
COYD!
George + Oldham

I didnt watch the game, how good did he play? He is better than Northampton to go on loan too but i suppose its playing time that counts. Its going to be hard for him to get into the squad we got top quality in Gleeson and Potter, with Williams as back up.
Cant wait for the game on monday! Hopefully not working past 6 so i can get home and watch it. Will be a tough one but a 1-3 win will suit me just fine! Morrison Gleeson and Balanta, Kuqi for them, just too see his celebration!

Haha you'd be tempted to let one in JUST to see it
He played well did George, kept a real close eye on him, slotted in really well, looked confident, looked professional, probs lacked that little bit of concentration but was a deffo 8/10 for me!

I too will be watching it on Sky if I can't find a Greek pub in MK.
Oldham haven't had the start this season and are hit or miss (mainly miss at home), so I will be hoping for a miss from them against us. They concede a lot of goals in the 1st period of 2nd half when we are our best, but come back at the end so expect a late rally.
I will go to 1-2 to the Dons. Morrison and Balanta to score.
BTW well done to George and I have been playing the new Football Manager demo and have Arsenal in the 3rd round of the league cup at the Emirates (shame we didn't get them in real life).

I watched the Northampton game on tele. He didn't have a particularly busy game, it passed him by a bit. He's obviously a skilful and composed player, but he's playing in a team and a league that like to hoof it to the massive bloke on top.
On the rare occasion Northampton did get it down and play, George picked his pass beautifully and got things moving.
His defensive work was pretty poor though, that will need to be addressed.
Not sure if i'll be able to make Oldham, money's a bit tight

To be fair though Hasza, things are often a lot different in the flesh to how you see things on television

Hmm how do you mean? I too kept my eyes on George, you could see him most of the time on tv even when not on the ball.
I didn't say he had a poor game, just that it passed him by a little. The commentators thought the same.
Like I said, when the Cobblers did actually play some football, George was usually at the heart of things.

Not having a pop fella, just personally thought he had a better game than you made it out to be but like you said, you didn't criticise him so it's sound as a dollar bill

I only watched on TV but from what I saw George will soon be back with a stiff neck if he plays amongst that for much longer. Hoof!
