Half hearted high pressing from the forwards exposes the midfield, which isn't supported by the CBs as they are slow and weak.

Pressing requires contesting space. A combination of poor uncoordinated pressing, and a lack of pace at the back means the press is half hearted in the first instance and the defence retreat to open up the space in midfiled to run through. A lack of energy, mobility and strength in the CM area adds to it.

I also think that Utd like to maintain a lot of width so the moment you lose the ball upu are wide open.

We were 3 nil down today without them and Newcastle had players in the team who have played 2 games in 18 months. Their keeper hadn't played since the cup final ironically against us after leaving us.

Rashford and Bruno aren't the problem. The manager is the problem quite clearly as there's not a single player playing for him and whatever tactics he's asking them to do isn't working at all.

I'd back Rashford n Bruno over this clown anyday.

Rashford & Bruno are part of the problem if you are wanting to play a modern progressive style of football.

This has been the case through the Ole and now the ETH eras. They work great in a counter attacking, direct team, sitting deep and springing attacks.

That's a middle tier style of play, a West Ham Moyes approach, a Conte or a Brentford way of playing. Can be very effectively but will not deliver you to the top, not in this day and age.

To be really honest....

if anybody hasnt worked out yet to why United players are failing all over the pitch.... and the Manager is a dead duck scratching his head after spending over £400m on top of what he inherited and still cant get it to work.... the Football Directos with his daft contracts and failed recruitment on ctap inappropriate players.... the Coaches, physios, medics etc at Carrington, not being able to teach the players anything whatsoever The Arena Manager at Old Trafford allowing the stadium to rot away under our eyes... (the list goes on to anybody at MUFC appointed to manage and implement anything.....

Then you really have not been paying attention. We have been over this on here anyway, a 1000 times in the last few years with how many managers and false dawns and new starts and spending £Billions?

You either get it... or you don't.

Was Rashford and Bruno a part of our defence?!!!!!! Are you guys actually ok? They are not the main problem, the manager constantly playing them is the problem. As j have been saying all day, they both came on and our already useless attack got worse (as unimaginable as it is).

And someone facks up for 10 games straight and you are still willing to excuse it, someone does it for one game (60 mins even) and you have decided they were not part of it. That's why Ten Hag is a crap manager, because you guys dont understand that the change should be wholesale.

Still trying to defend Rash and Bruno? Common. You guys are not ready. Let's get the new manager in.
