LIVE: Leicester v Leeds

Evening all and thanks Downsouf for getting the party started! Tonight is going to be I think the toughest test of the season and will tell us a lot. Great start to the season but this is a big match no doubt

Line up

30Hermansen
21Ricardo Pereira
3Faes
23Vestergaard
2Justin
7Casadei
8Winks
22Dewsbury-Hall
18Fatawu
9Vardy
10Mavididi

Substitutes

4Coady
11Albrighton
14Iheanacho
15Souttar
17Choudhury
20Daka
35McAteer
40Marçal-Madivadua
41Stolarczyk

I think starting vestergard is a risk against that Leeds front line and I really wish we had Ndidi back. We need a MUCH better performance than against QPR - could define the season this one. Come on foxes

I don’t think the performance was terrible 99 and we won’t coke up against many teams as strong as Leeds this year.

But if Enzo genuinely thinks we created chances and weren’t second best for that game he is either protecting his team or on drugs.

What could have been 17 points is now 11. We deserved that for sure but the title is yours to lose.

As a side note we’ve had a few games where the opposition has had no shots in target. Rodin and Struijk have been awesome this season.

Good luck - I hope you go up with us.

It wasn’t a good performance in the second half at all. I’d say you’re on a few drugs yourself if you think that second half was anything other than poor by our standards. 😂 We gave the ball away, we were ponderous in attack and barely created a clear cut chance. That’s not good enough - let’s stop giving all the credit to Leeds because in truth, while they were excellent - they didn’t have to work that hard for the win in the end.

QPR were woeful and we almost came unstuck against them. Fans keep saying ‘wait til we click’ - well we need to start clicking because eventually performances catch up with you. We’ve done incredibly well and half arrsed quite a few wins - but that needs to be a wake up call

Surely the way Leeds played prevented you from playing your game?..

Think it unfair not giving credit where it is due!..

You beat me to it!

Leicester looked poor because they met a team that was better than them for 97 minutes.

End of.

I think what’s even more concerning is Enzos post match interview. Thinks we created lots of chances, thinks the result was unfair and was happy with the performance.

Well done for those comments 99 and I salute your honesty. I think this result has done our auto chances a world of good - I don’t think it’s affected yours too much. You’ll still sail autos imho👍.

I agree. You stopped us played and did it very very effectively. We had no answers and that’s because of how Leeds stifled our creativity and caused us issues on the counter.

Our wife men were getting so much joy in the first half but real credit for adapting and totally stopping that in the second. That’s when 99 quite right points out that we were poor in our response and needed a plan B. I don’t think Enzo wants a plan B but he might need one.

I said let’s stop giving Leeds ‘all the credit’, not that we shouldn’t give Leeds any. I also said Leeds were excellent. But it takes two to tango. Yeah you made it hard for us - but as league leaders and potential champions (and everyone has been declaring we will be for some time) we should be able to respond to that at home and actually create a shot on target inside 94 minutes

It was actually similar against QPR - they had us sussed for most of the game and we looked pretty toothless to be honest. QPR have been awful this season but made us look average. At some point we have to look at ourselves because our performances have been declining despite picking up wins.

See my above post - we’re in total agreement on a lack of a plan B but I’m not even sure Plan A has been effective over the last couple of weeks. The problem with Plan A is that we haven’t replaced Maddison and we have little creativity in the midfield to cut teams open. We therefore rely on the wide players and teams are starting to figure that out

Your two wide guys look very impressive to be honest. However, Byram is a right back at left back and our right back is a 19 year old kid who’s best position is midfield.

They both got shredded at times but the two in the centre managed to keep things quiet for our keeper.
