Thoughts from tonight

Was looking forward to staying home tonight and seeing what Leeds could do.

Big challenge away to runaway league leaders, a recent flat performance but full strength on the back of a good win.

Started with us on top, but you know the feeling, you dont take the chances and you'll regret them later.

First chance goes to Piroe and that was really about all he did during the evening, very subdued performance, whilst everything was going through Summerville and Rutter was involved a lot although I felt he looked really lazy in the press. Summerville was drawing blanks with his cut ins, but it felt like tactic was to get it to him all the time, James seems a bit anonymous in the first half.

Ampadu and Kamara were excellent in the middle as was Rodon at the back.

Byram and Gray had tough night with their opponents able to go past them at will at times, but apart from the bar being rattled after some lovely technique to bamboozle Byram, Leicester didn't look dangerous at all despite having more of the possession.

James came into it more in second half and we were starting to be more and more active around their box and then finally a good corner and the simplest of tap ins for Rutter, whose hard work deserved the pay off and was great to see ho happy he was at the end.

Meslier who comes in for a lot of stick, showed what he has done for us numerous time in the past, saved his the points at the end.

For the first time in some years we have a strong bench for the division we're in and we still have a couple to come back.

A superb team performance tonight, but only question mark for me is how to get the best out of Piroe for I dont think we're seeing it at present.

Leicester and Ipswitch running away with the league

Interestingly both the top two have to play each other twice and both have to come to us.

Lots of points at stake in those games.

Hopefully the pressure gets to them.

Such a pity that we had a rocky start due to players wanting to move away. Had we sorted this team for the start of the season I think we would be up there in the top two.

Your spelling of Ipswich brought back memories of this guy:

Last night's tremendous victory was such a pivotal moment of the season that reminds me wnen Wilko's team won away 1 nil at West Ham and it so annoyed the southern West Ham loving press but put was a massive confidence booster and springboard for the team to believe and ultimately achieve great success which I think Farke's team will replicate this season.

I also wouldn't be surprised if DF achieves the hatrick as a championship winning manager... plenty of games to chace the top 2 down but obviously one game at a time and with Plymouth at home next they must be afforded the same level of respect as Leicester as you can't as we all know take any team lightly in this league which I'm confident Farke has got that message well and truly embedded into his players minds.
