Crewe Alex 2 - 2 Derby County - FA Cup

CREWE ALEXANDRA v DERBY COUNTY FA Cup #1

1445 Sunday 5th November 2023
Just when we get a good one match momentum going, along comes a distraction which serves to derail us or does it?

The perennial question arises, is it better to get knocked out of a cup and expend more concentration on getting promoted or would you like to see a decent cup run? Some feel quite strongly about the FA Cup but to me, it lost its 'magic' when Man Utd were allowed to defer the 3rd round in 2000-2001(?).

So, to win or to not be embarrassed? Good contingent of Derby fans travelling on Sunday - lets hope we are still one of the balls come Monday evening.

Team news:- Wildsmith (GK), Forsyth, Hourihane (C), Bradley, Barkhuizen, Bird, Mendez-Laing, Smith, Washington, Nyambe, Nelson.

Subs:- Vickers (GK), Wilson, Cashin, Collins, Sibley, Fornah, Ward, Robinson, Brown.

By the way, I'm not too old to go, I just can't get there with my legs, if I could, believe you me, I would. And I wouldn't be booing.

I've never ever booed one of our players...but i've grumbled about plenty. I wonder how little Tommy Tuppence is getting on? You never hear about him nowadays.

I'm surprised you didn't want to give Coco more time, I thought he was on the verge of something.

I've never read such crap.
We dominated the match form start to finish against a team that played with 5 across the back and for most of the game their whole team were in their 18yard box.
They scored on the break, and we had to put crosses in to try to break their packed defence. We have not got anyone like Alan Hinton's delivery but we have got triers, so get off their backs. You are like children in the playground.
How often have you heard "the smallest player on the pitch scored from a header".
Nobody praised the players for keeping the pressure on to the end, and earning a replay to bring in more revenue, no you just cannot stop griping. If you do not like it, don't pay to go, if you are watching it on the box turn it off. There is an excuse for Mr always right, he speaks from planet Numty, the rest of you appear to be speaking from Uranus

So let me get this straight you’re entitled to your opinion, but anyone who doesn’t fawn over Paul Warne and HIS tactics, like you, talks out of their Uranus. Talk about condescending. I suggest you go to see an ophthalmologist.

No need to get so het up about it. People are entitled to their opinions though it’s irritating when people regard opinion as fact. I don’t think we are terrible, far from it, but I’m sceptical about the style of play so I reckon I’m allowed to say so. Going to games doesn’t make anyone some sort of all-knowing football genius but obviously you get more of an idea of what’s going on if you see it first-hand.

Football is about opinions, one man's meat is another man's poison.
TBH it's great to see people on here debating their opinions again, some will agree some won't, but we need to keep doing it.
I don't filter any one because I believe it's important to see some else's take on a subject, whether you agree with it or not. Even if you think it's a stupid or childish take. (apparently it looks like I've been filtered by mornchilli or whatever the red dog calls himself)
