Clearly out. Once the ref sees that's there was no need to check anything else. The officiating is embarrassing. Headless chickens don't know what they are doing. Other clubs can laugh at us and wum that it was a clear goal. But dont be crying when they shaft you as well.

The disallowed goal for United was worse than this Newcastle one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are talking about yesterdays then you are miles off the mark. The McTominay goal was correctly ruled out, Maguire was offside and challenged an opponent for the ball, impacting the defending.
As for Striketeams assertion "The ball wasn’t 100% out - VAR does it’s job
Gordon wasn’t offside - VAR does it’s job" - VAR literally said they didn't know as they didn't have the right camera angles. So VAR didn't do any job. Gordon definitely looks offside, the fact they don't have cameras that sees what happens in the 6 yard box is laughable.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maguire is only marginally offside, by a matter of inches or less. If he was those couple of inches or whatever back to be onside, the defender marking him would still be marking him. I don't think that impacts the defending enough to disallow the goal.

Maguire is offside - there is no "marginally". He wasn't those couple of inches back so again irrelevant.
Maguire challenges a defender for the ball from an offside position, that makes him offside. Refs don't go into hypotheticals when reviewing if a player is offside.

No way they allow that goal if certain teams score it. They pick and choose. I haven't seen any City or Newcastle getting shafted like that.

I think we have seen awful decisions against all teams bar Spurs tbf.

Players can be offside in those passages of play if they are adjudged to not be interfering with play. I'd argue that he isn't if it doesn't affect the outcome. That's what the idea of interfering with play really comes down to, whether it affects the goal and that clearly doesn't.

No it doesn't Making up rules now? Nowhere in the offside law does it say it is only offside if it "affects the goal".
It does say a player is offside if he challenges an opponent for the ball (Maguire did), clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent (which Maguire clearly did) and making an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball (which Maguire did).

I clearly stuck up for Liverpool when we got favoured with that decision for the disallowed Diaz goal. So not all Spurs fans.

That particular call was correct. No way of proving either way.
Was a clear foul though I think.

At least one of the opposition supporter being honest. Well done.
