Time to put down a real marker

over the next two games, starting this evening against Chelsea. Two wins, six points would put Spurs absolutely at centre stage for a title challenge. Which I have absolutely believed in from day one of the season.

I still haven`t seen a better side than Spurs this season, so no need to fear any side. That Spurs are the only unbeaten side in all four divisions of the football pyramid is testament to how good a side they are. In reality only Sheffield United have come anywhere close to lowering Spurs colours this season, and Spurs played them off the park for the majority of that game.

Win the next two, followed by three of the next four at home, and the gaps will really start to open up. Just beating Chelsea and Wolves will open up a five point gap on City, and eight point gap on both Liverpool and Arsenal, and that is before Spurs embark on their three home games out of four fixtures, where I expect the gap to grow.

In effect I suspect the title race will very quickly be wittled down to two, Spurs and City, even before the Xmas decorations have come down. Now that`s not just me as a Spurs fan showing bias, the results are their for all to see. Liverpool cannot seriously be expecting a title challenge if they are having to grab a 96th minute equaliser at Luton, and Arsenal will continue to flat track bully at home, but are incapable of winning the big away matches Over the next few weeks, both will be exposed I suspect. As for the rest, Villa, United, Brighton etc simply not on the same level as Spurs and City.

Back to tonight`s game, I expect something like 3-0 to Spurs. I really don`t rate Chelsea at all, like some on the board do. They are a collection of very expensive misfits cobbled together, and I would only see James getting anywhere near the current Spurs best XI.

So make it loud and hostile this evening for all those that are attending. No room for sentiment, need to be ruthless. No more of the soft touch Spurs. At long last Spurs have a winner as a manager and I suspect Ange knows the importance of going full out for the six points on offer between now and 14.30 Saturday afternoon.

Your marker was getting embarrassed at three point lane!

Apart from tonight, let's not forget the 3 points you shouldn't have had in that game I need not mention!

Oh feck me Brummie has turned up after going missing all season. Seems all the rats are coming out of their holes.

Haven't heard peep out of any of you for months, then beating a nine man team you all put your heads above the parapets.

Your fairweather Brummie, only turn up when Chelsea win.

No I haven't been on JA for quite a while - the main reason being I became disillusioned with the site, having to read and feeling the necessity to respond to brain dead, ill thought out comments by socially incapable people like you.

Make the most of it, you probably won't hear from me for months again!

9 v 11 fella. Not fecking rocket science.

I wouldn't get to cocky. You were very poor even against nine.

I am happy with the massive points gap between Spurs and Chelsea.

Sandy,

Im not getting over excited at 4-1 win at WH/Lane.

I really didnt think we would get much out of it tbf.

I do believe that the reckless way Spurs went at it gifted us the game.

Do you have enough strength in depth to cope with the consequences of the suspensions of the players red carded?

Yeh Spurs gifted you the match. Romero is a complete waste of space. He is a walking red card every match. I would be happy to sell him.

I think Spurs have just about enough. Although any club losing four of their best players in one game will have a problem.

Spurs will spend in January, which isn't that far away.
