Well I've seen some impressive fans displays from the travelling fans in the CL - you know the synchronised chanting, singing, stamping etc that German fans in particular go for. But feck me I've never seen anything like what the Swiss fans managed last night. They had special outfits (bin bags, cagoules?) so the middle tier (yellow) and the bottom tier (black) matched the team's strip. Then they did a synchronised outfit change. In fact they did several, and lots of coordinated movements too. They then let off multiple flares in a geometric display in the lower tier. I'm told that it was all organised with walkie talkies - not sure how true that was. But as someone on the radio said, it was all reminiscent of a mini version of the 2012 Olympic opening ceremony. Completely fecking mad.

I love European nights because the away fans are almost always fantastic.
With the exception of Galatasaray, who somehow managed to get hundreds of tickets in our section leading to a lot of disruption and some violence.

Must of been weird for City to see so many fans
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not as weird as Spurs fans seeing a trophy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs all cocky about their league position that they think they can win with 9 players.
Actually, to be fair to their fans, I haven't seen any try to defend the sendings off, they may have a corrupt owner but they took their medicine on that without whining.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Most of us hate our owners as they have a bad habit of making the wrong decision. As far as I am aware though they are not part of an oppressive regime
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How much are they sending to Israel?

Anyone remember the opening sequence in 2001 - Space Odessey when the apes find a human thigh bone and wonder what it is?
That'll be Spurs fans if/when they ever win another trophy.

Remember the Tom Hanks movie castaway, I heard they are doing a sequel about a Man City fan who finds themselves stranded at the Etihad on match day and ends up befriending a giant foam hand so he has someone to talk to
