Sancho wanted by Saudi

Snap their hand off.

Amrabat isn't a Utd player. He's only on loan.

Can't see that deal being made permanent unless he has a good season. If ETH loses his job between now and May which looks likely I can't see him signing either.

Casemiro can't cope with the PL intensity. He is best going to retire in a nothing league and taking his payday. If he's still here in August I'd be astonished.

Incidentally, it's ironic that Hojlund is probably the most ideal centre forward we've had to complement Sancho's game since he arrived at the club.

I have said this more than once myself over the last month or so.

Do you think it is worth giving him another chance, or just try and move him on? I am kind of torn on the situation. I just don't think that he has the desire. But he is a talented player and wouldn't be against giving him another chance.

I am at the point of getting rid. He has no desire to play under ETH.

I watched Elanga for Forest again Villa the other weekend and his pace was a threat and he worked hard but you can see he doesn’t really have the technique to be a top player.

I do think he will forge a decent PL and international career but it was right to sell him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That is all he has though. He has no other attributes of a striker. Think Bellion and the Obertan.

Not necessarily disagreeing but I think he will be better than those 2.

In fairness a lot of the others aren't showing much desire to play for him either. 😂

Sancho needs to go though. Can't stat pad against bin men in PL like he did in Germany. Same as Havertz and Werner. Those 3 were some of the best players in that division the year we signed Sancho. All 3 flopped massively in England.

Don't think you can be a winger with no pace in England and be a success anymore. Becks never had any pace but had a great worth ethic and a wand of a right foot to make up for it.

If someone wants to pay good money for him then it's a no brainer. He's been at the club long enough to at least have shown enough to get excited about but he's simply been poor 9 times out of 10. Every odd little moment of quality has been a false dawn.

I don't disagree that Hojlund's game might suit Sancho either, but we've made this excuse for various players for years; that they'll be transformed if paired with X, Y & Z etc. Whilst that might be true to some extent, a player has to show something themselves and with the rest of their teammates. You can't have players who can only perform when literally every other aspect of the team is in their favour.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Just to be clear, when I made the Hojlund comment it was an aside and not suggesting there's a way back for Sancho, let alone making an excuse for him. I think he's had enough chances.

Pace isn’t an issue for Sancho. He may not be the quickest but he isn’t slow either. He is quicker than Antony.

The problem and all of our wide players, except Garnacho, are like this at the moment is the lack of taking players on in one movement. They all stop when they receive the ball and think about what they are going to do.

This isn’t helped by our players passing either behind them or at their feet. It needs to be for them to run on to.

Varane, sadly, is turning into the Martial of our defence. For such vital positions we can't afford to have to change personnel so often.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We wanted him to marshall our defence. Instead he's martialing our defence. Fine margins.

My comment wasn’t aimed at you specifically, RR. Just that the Sancho/Hojlund has had a bit of traction on here previously and we’ve seen in the past players given grace (‘excuses’ probably wasn’t the right word on reflection) on the grounds that they need some other player to produce their best form.

Personally I was excited by Sancho’s signing and thought we’d landed ourselves a real prospect. Whether he was made to look better than he was in Germany or he simply doesn’t have the mentality (or a bit of each) I don’t know.
