Display befitting maximum points and high regard
Results in general this season haven't been deserving or reflective of the performance output and good coaching from Pochettino. (Small mistakes have often come with annoyingly huge consequences. We are our own worst enemy).
Instant comebacks not once, not twice but thrice...do you know how much mental resilience that takes against such a relentless, mentally and physically draining side like that. Ridiculous levels, particularly when they so often take the lead in matches and runaway comfortably victorious.
Scoring 4+ goals back to back (a rarity for us) and only ending up victorious in one of them is preposterous (For context the last time back to back 4 goals were scored and pulsating football showcased...the creative fulcrum Callum had his first run of starts in his favoured position, creating at a much higher rate & goals galore during that period, the correlation was undeniable).
I genuinely believed we'd be the second team to defeat City in 68 matches, after going behind. A huge turnaround....
Make no mistake that was a seismic effort from a Chelsea side that were fully prepared for a battle and destabilising a well-oiled established winning machine.
Stark contrast to how we've performed against them in previous meetings, where the team has collapsed after falling behind.
Played through their press on a number of occasions and forced errors, uncomfortable night for them.
City couldn't cope with the exerted pressure, hence struggled to execute their control of matches and keep to usual standard of minimising chances in defensive areas.
I appreciate the application from the team, but they must summon and impose the ruthless killer edge in advantageous positions when presented with golden / gilt-edged chances (most important factor in winning matches), once that clicks...

(Building out from the back with Rob kick-starting attacks & strong wrists...Comforting๐)
Suffice to say there is still vast scope for improvements to be made across-the-board, and that will be covered by the unavailable ๐ differentiators returning, post-international break.
Enthused about how Disasi - Beno, Enzo - Caicedo, Reece - Palmer, Colwill - Chukwuemeka, Nico - Cristo partnerships will evolve in capacity and understanding.
Petrovic, Madueke, Rob, Broja, Chilwell, Gusto, Maatsen, Gallagher, Mudryk, Sterling, Lavia and potentially Chalobah (infinitely better rotational option across the backline than Cucurella)...subplots also fascinating.
Spine-chilling upside, and upward trajectory this squad Boehly and co. assembled.
Point wasn't a true reflection of the match

Just to remind everyone. Chelsea have won just four of twelve matches all season, including just one at home over Luton. 16 points out of 36 despite spending a billion.
That's a shocking return. The way Chelsea supporters have waffled on this week, you would think they were well clear at the top of the table, instead of sitting in 10th.

Poch always needed some time to sort the mess out. Plus they had some injuries. Looks like it’s finally coming together for them.
Poch still definitely getting sacked at Christmas Sandy? ๐
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is it really coming together? Spurs with all their players on the pitch would have beaten them, and they could have quite easily lost to City. They may have had zero points from their last two games.
I still think Pochettino will be gone by Xmas. Luck only lasts so long.

Sandy, a bit more goodwill is good for the soul.
Is it really coming together?
You dont have to be Harry Rednapp to acknowledge that the Cfc squad does have huge potential and is improving

Why did you get players sent off Sandy? Because you were being attacked and exposed and couldn’t handle the pressure
Bottled it again

Let's be honest, Tuchel's last months were pretty bad, but we were competitive. I wasn't enamored with his style though. The team and club startd going badly downhill once Roman was hounded out - around the time of the Champinons League game with Madrid at Stamford Bridge. Since then, we've been pretty dire. Poch has finally got us playing some football even if results are still not great. Shame we didn't get him in at the beginning, we could have bought better and bought players for him.

why were spurs drawing 1-1 then and conceded two dissallowed goals and lunging in and getting dominated at 11 v 11 then?

Quads, i think we fell off the edge December 2021.
As i recollect, it coincided with James & Chilwell getting injured, Lukaku throwing his toys out the pram in the sky Italia interview.
Next up Roman and the sanctions ect . ect.

That's true, and yours ran out last Monday! You've got a kamikaze manager working with a skeleton squad.
Genuinely wouldn't be surprised if we finished above you mate
