Fall out from Everton's FFP breach !

Everton to appeal?

Supporters bleating about how hard done by the club has been treated?

The club has been experiencing continuous issues with the owners and the way they have run the club?

But seriously the 10 point deduction in this league-23/24 is a gift.

The issue now becomes the teams who were relegated are now looking for grounds to be compensated?

This issue is more than likely driving the appeal, as the point drop will not effect their EPL status, other than they will finish 2/3 places lower.

The reasoning for the deduction will be at the root of the clubs appeal if it has have grounds or not, did Evertons accounting practices give them an unfair advantage?

This case has brought increased focus on City and their 115 FFP breach
charges, something they are stringing out through the required legal process.

Likewise the Cfc face an investigation regarding the clubs self reporting that during the Abramovich era in complete accounts were filed between 2012 & 2018 regarding payments to agents and other associates linked to the club.

Due to the fact the new ownership have self reported and the incomplete accounting ocurred during the Abramovich era, this issue will more than likely result in a fine.

Further more there is considerable interest in the clubs transfer activities and the way the new ownership has decided to restructure the clubs finances & rebuild the squad. As yet there is no FFP breach.

But this will become apparent June24.

In this case if Cfc are found to have breached FFP , when taking the Everton case as president it would not be illogical to assume that Cfc could face a similar points deduction , 12 points are the current maximum.

Depending the natutre of the FFP breach ( value, intent ) the club could very well also face a significant fine and a transfer ban.

To suggest that Cfc will not be treated as Everton have been treated is absurd, the EPL are concerned about government intervention and regulation. The Everton points deduction and other possible consequences are a statement by the EPL showing that they are capable and willing to keep their own house in order.

Lets not forget, the government took control of the club due to Abramovics links to Putin.

Likewise with City, it is a process, they are within their rights and in fact required to defend each of the 115 charges.

From a Cfc supporter perspective it is clear that the new ownership are sailing close to the wind, there are pros and cons for the way they have gone about the restructuring.

If they can settle the accounts to balance FFP

But if they cant, i personally feel whatever the penalties the club receive will be just and of the new ownerships making.

These guys have more money than God and they have been clumsy, brash and foolish with their decision making in the first 12 months of their tenure.

Their reckless sacking of Tuschel and the obtuse decision making in the first year led to the loss of C/L status, a significant reduction with income, all of which may well be difference that creates an FFP breach.

Still time will tell, i do hope that they can meet the FFP requirement.

The squad is moving in the right direction, imo we are two players off a squad that will challenge next season for a 4 top place, or dealing with a points deduction, set back.

I think it may be something to do with Chelsea being rubbish atm. Lots of glory hunters jumped on the lottery win bandwagon. They all seem to have vanished now.

Sandy I am called a glory hunter as I started watching club football regularly from Euro 2004.I supported Chelsea since then.I feel envious of Manchester clubs but I feel me choosing Chelsea was the right decision.I think Chelsea will always remain my first love.I will support Chelsea through thick and thin so that is not an issue.BBC 606 website was better and had more Chelsea users and posters.Dont worry Sandy Chelsea will remain the only European champions for the foreseeable future because of winning 2 Champions League titles.
