Long time Cyp. Hope you are keeping well.

Unfortunately, Gem passed away earlier this year. We knew he was ill and he stopped posting the match threads last season. Cinci did some digging I think and confirmed the news.

Hey Cyp, good to hear from you. Hope life is treating you well. Certainly was sad to lose Gem, only knew him from him posting on here but he was one of the good guys, even if he didn't have much time for Uncle Herb .

I've tried to keep his legacy alive with the match threads, I don't have his poetic turn of phrase but at least I haven't resorted to cut and paste from the BBC website... well I did once ....

Echo the sentiments of others on here.

It would be good if Cyp returned as we are short on numbers for sure. We certainly had some good laughs with Cyp and others on the old 12 yards.
