VDV, Sarr, Maddison, Richarlison, Perisic, Solomon, Sessegnon, Bentancur, Phillips....all now on our injury list, along with the suspended Romero and Bissouma (nothing to do with luck on those two though).
All things considered I'm astounded we even managed to make a game of it, let alone dominate the first half the way we did.
First part of the season we played some brilliant football but also luck went our way a number of times. At the moment, it's really not. That'll change.
But at the moment I'm not too downbeat. We're not going to get a huge amount of points for the remainder of the year but our strong start should mean we're still somewhat in the mix come January, when we'll be getting players back and hopefully some new signings.
Top 4/5 still looks a good possibility for us.

It`s also amusing that a nailed on penalty on Gil, and VAR aint working. It could only happen to Spurs.

yeah I missed all the build up to the game, what was the deal with VAR? Did they have to turn it off and back on again or something? Blatant elbow to the face and we get nothing, very odd.
I'm curious as to why it now takes ten times as long to draw a couple lines for offsides too. Someone is determined to make VAR worse week by week...

As a Villa fan I'm obviously pleased to have won but Spurs deserved at least a point today. Martinez made some great saves and you missed some good chances. We couldn't deal with your press. But our second goal was a lovely goal and when we went forward we did cause issues as I thought we would against a makeshift central defence. Injuries have been cruel to Spurs and I do feel for them in that sense.
As for Cash, yes horrible tackle, I think he was more reckless than actually went out to injure Bentancur but it's no excuse. Rightly hooked at half time and it worked as we were much better in the 2nd half.
I'm not going to gloat, you're going through a hard time but I'm obviously delighted we're in the top 4 now. Best of luck for the rest of the season.

Yeah was a close 2nd yellow and he would have got one had he not already been on one
The challenge he made on bentencur was a disgrace and you could tell he felt guilty about it too
Just done 10 months out and a fellow professional does that ….no attempt for the ball
Cash has a real nasty streak in his game

Fair comment mate. And to be fair, if Spurs were 2nd best, but won I would be happy as well.
Spurs have an unprecedented injury and suspension crisis right now, so you probably caught Spurs at the right time, as did Wolves last week.

Thanks mate, when you get everyone fit and back from suspension you'll start winning again but you know that. It's a marathon not a sprint so still a long way to go and I'm not getting carried away, but it's great to be in the running. Hopefully we can both get a CL place.

He doesn't have the personality of someone nasty, so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, but I don't like it when one of our players tackles like that. Whether reckless or nasty, it was stupid either way and Bentancur is just back from long term injury. I know he also did it to Doherty a couple of seasons back.
Just letting you know that as a fan I don't like to see our players tackle like that.
