he was absolutely superb today,up against a very strong challenge from alonso and vettel
he seemed to handle everything with sublime coolness, vettel muscling him out at the start (which i thought was completely fair),a great charge from alonso, judging his pace perfectly to the end, even that little moment with the backmarker, cool as a cucumber, very impressed today and not for the first time
i must admit,i thought it was a mistake button going to mclaren with hamilton having his feet already very much under the table, but i got this completely wrong
it's been said he was lucky at brawn and i include myself in that, but with what he's achieved at mclaren, for me he's proved his credentials as being a world champion
interesting times ahead at mclaren,i think, button deserves alot of credit today
Brilliant Button!

Couple of points here:-
1/ I agree, I thought Vettel's move was hard but fair, which begs the question, why did Vettel feel the need to lie about it, saying he had not seen Button, when the onboard clearly shows him having a good look in the mirror?
2/ Why was Button lucky at Brawn? Was it because he had the fastest car, as did Rubens, as has Vettel and Webber for most of this season.

He was lucky at Brawn because the Brawn car was miles better then the rest of the cars. As soon as the other cars caught up he stopped dominating.
It was a very good drive from Button today. Just a shame he found his form too late to do anything about Vettel.

By that logic, this year and last were complete flukes for Vettel.

decent drive by button in what was probally the quickest car out there ,
shame hamilton had his puncture as we might have had a good scrap between the pair ,
however on balance i dont think the timing of the slow puncture actually hindered lewis that much
still think button would have prevailed over hamilton as tyre preservation was the order of the day at japan which has never been hamiltons strongest point -

I am not too sure that he found his form too late. I think it more due to the fact that Mclaren are not prioritising Hamilton anymore.
At the start of the season, strategies were build around Hamilton. Not anymore and definitely convinced that if Button was the driver number one, things would have been different.
