He looked alright with a strong defence in front of him. But at United its just comedy capers. So the keeper has to work a lot harder and then his limitation shows. De Gea struggled as well with their defence. Way too much work for any keeper.

Those goals he conceded had nothing to do with strong defence or not. Those were bread and butter free kicks.

De Gea averaged just over 2 saves per game since SAF left and just over 3 saves per game with SAF. We actually had a very good defence for years.

We actually defended well hence the oppositions low XG. It was just 3 goals we conceded all saveable but I noticed the first goal Onana view was blocked by Galatasaray player who was illegally there.

He's dreadful, must be close to getting dropped surely?

Quite often when he makes normal saves that you'd expect him to make, he doens't do it cleanly. Often palming the ball into dangerous or just odd areas.

I never rated him highly after our UCL SF vs Ajax. In that game he made an amazing point blank save, then went to dive on the loose ball and spilled it to Moura who scored our second....that was the goal that gave us real hope and the rest is history. He basically made an awful error that let a team back into the game. Sound familiar.
