Explains why Ugochukwu wasn't in the matchday squad last weekend

At least we won’t be starting a midfield 3 of Ugo, Caicedo and Enzo. Way too defensive.

Hang on - I thought Enzo was our new striking force...

I don't agree with that.
Caicedo given the licence to attack can display a different aspect to his ability, this is often shown when playing for Ecuador.
Enzo almost every match finds himself in advantageous positions, just has to do better with being clinical infront of goal.

With each passing day Caicedo is getting ever so comfortable and expanding his technique + now confident in showing for the ball and understanding touches required in certain situations. Less is more.
See how heavily involved Caicedo is here in the build-up play - https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1731461395651211264/pu/vid/avc1/1278x720/Zj1KeQ8LREaGYKtD.mp4?tag=12
Night and day difference to the meeting against his former club in the league cup. Picks his moments when to take extra touches and when not to. Vast technical quality to extract.
The less is more mantra can be applied to various players, including Sanchez where his assertive one-touch passing out is generally excellent, starts to overcomplicate things and come unstuck when he overthinks.

It's only spurs and newcastle who have injuries though I was led to believe?

He may have more to his game but I’ve yet to see it at Chelsea. Neither of those 3 offer a goal threat. Hoping Palmer replaces Gallagher tomorrow in midfield.

Enzo & Caicedo offer a goal threat, not as much as Palmer but they can. Ugochukwu doesn't.
Can't forget all Palmer' goals have been penalties to date. Caicedo had an open play chalked off against Spurs, when allowed to advance forward and shoot in dangerous areas.
Palmer will start for sure in Gallagher' absence, unless struck down by a setback from fully training with squad.
