No, I'm not losing my marbles or quoting a Snow Patrol (covered by Leona Lewis) song title. I'm merely outlining the bare minimum I expect from the United players tonight!
I know it's not the most advanced tactical advice you can give but it'd be a start. If you can't play well at least make sure the opposition find it difficult to play because of the sheet effort you're making.
It seems Paul Scholes agrees with me too - https://x.com/TenHagBall_/status/1732427914342187225?s=20
In all seriousness though a packed OT in front of a TV audience of millions is the ideal place to shut people up for a while. If the players don't respond with something tonight then I actually would start fearing for Ten Hag.
I do expect better tonight though and I'm going to go for a much improved performance and a vital three points. 3-1.
Run!

I don't dislike Antony as much as some but even I'd have to say that if we're discussing how hard he works then that's not great. We need some end product. Let's hope he kicks on from a pretty promising performance v Galatasaray.

Antony tonight like against Gala was better than Rashford has been in any game this season.
I’m sure SE85 will use the usual boring g/an argument to try and argue this point.

Antony played pretty well, I thought, but he has to trust his right foot a little bit.
Even if all he does is pull it back for someone else rather than shoot, he can't keep turning in on his left foot when it just isn't on.

Never faulted his work rate process but yet again he was incredibly poor in the final third and wasted several good chances, mainly because he refuses to use his right foot.
You're so blinkered with this player. He ain't good enough.

I’m not blinkered. I’m not saying he’s good enough at all but if you can’t see he’s a better option than Rashford on the right I give up.
If Rashford started on the right the team performance wouldn’t have been half as good, I’m convinced of it.

He's a crap option. His job is score and make goals. He does neither. Like playing with two right backs half the time.
Maybe he will eventually score against Wigan Athletic.

Yet still our best option on the right.

Don't think he's any better than Pellestri. Output is poor from both but at least Pellestri beats a man and can use his right foot.
We need another RW. Maybe even two if Greenwood really is done.

Garnacho would probably do a better job than all three of them on the right too. No idea why we've not given him a go

Would be foolish to move Garnacho now that he’s playing well.
