I appreciate how good Declan Rice was again but my MOTM by a distance was Gabriel Jesus.
Yesterday he was just electric, hunting down balls & making attacking moves - he’s like a one man army!
I acknowledge that he’s not the most clinical finisher but yesterday his quick pre-assist throw-in set up the first goal, he scored the second goal & got a brilliant assist for the third.
🤞 he stays fit because we are a different team when he’s back to this level. ✅
Jesus - back to his best…

I like Eddie, but he's so innefective away from home. Good to have Jesus back in form.

Really?
Used to tolerate him because I hoped he could improve and maybe there was some more hidden potential there but I can't stand him anymore.
I'm so sick and tired of seeing him come off the bench for the last 30 minutes or so and be blatantly sulking/lazy.
Arteta always talks about his great attitude in training but I don't see it on the pitch enough and he does the same thing when he comes off the bench every single time and has done for as long as I can remember. Jogging around at 70% intensity, not really pressing anyone and letting players drift past him with the ball and run directly at the midfield line, often at times we really can't afford to concede a late goal as we're only leading by a small margin.
I'm not even going to go into the easy chances he misses and limited technical ability. He is at best a third choice striker for a top 4 team, a second choice striker for a midtable team and a first choice striker for a team in the bottom half/fighting relegation.
Hope he gets sold ASAP.

What was his recent record until Sheffield United? I forget now, 1 goal in his last 30 odd games or something? An embarrassing record given that he's playing for an attacking team. So I really don't know who he thinks he is to be sulking and refusing to sprint when he comes off the bench to be honest, he's lucky, very very fortunate to still be at Arsenal and on £100k/w.

I think Jesus is more suited to Champions League because teams are at least willing to attack in their home leg. It's very hard for him against packed defences of the Premier League, especially at home.

I agree, this drives me up the wall with Nketiah, he comes on for the last 20 minutes & I expect to see him sprinting about - but he doesn’t, he really does act like he is sulking.
He doesn’t seem to realise that he’s not good enough to start & these weak efforts when he does come on don’t help. 🤷🏻♂️

The last time he came on off the bench he was very slow to get close to the left fullback who ended up starting the move that led to a goal. If Nketiah had pressed him properly the move probably never starts.
It's like going down to 10 men defensively when he comes on.

It's a weird one because he's done it numerous times which almost makes it seem like it's by design. Arteta surely wouldn't stand for someone coasting around the pitch once let alone on numerous occasions. Yet he heaps praise on him all the time saying he trains amazingly well.
I actually think Nketiah could be a good striker if he's the main number 9 for a season and could have a pretty good goal return. He'd probably score more than Jesus, but the team wouldn't score anywhere near as many.
When he starts, he sprints around and hurries defenders for 65-70 minutes so why can't he do it for 20-25 when he comes on. There's no reason why he shouldn't have more of an impact from the bench.

Eddie is very limited and is in no way ready to start for a club competing for the title. He has very little quality link up play. I have compared him in the past to Andy Cole, but Eddie's finishing has not improved in the last 18 months. I think he knows his career has stalled at Arsenal and his enthusiasm has waned since the links to Toney surfaced. I think he needs to move.

Precisely, I wouldn't want him to start for us but I do think he could a decent job at another club if he was to start week in week out.
I guess the biggest negative for Eddie is that if he went to let's say Crystal Palace, he'd score goals but I don't think he'd really improve them.

Yup, I agree, he needs to move because he thinks he’s being hard done by but he just isn’t, I think as a starter his limits are the likes of Wolves/Forest & of course Palace as ‘Emily Death Rowe’ has mentioned.
