We’re going to get bantered, but my god we were miles better than West Ham and if we had a finisher would have won handsomely.
It’s incredibly difficult given the run we’re on but we just have to stay patient and keep going here, because once this squad is strengthened suitably, with the way we play we’re going to be a hell of a side.
We’re not killing games at the moment and it’s hurting us big time, Brennan and Son we’re poor again, Kulu is painfully one footed, PEH offers nothing in those games and Bissouma snatches at chances.
It will come. We were without a shadow of a doubt the better team, but if you don’t take your chances that happens.
My big concern now is we don’t secure a European spot - I think that hurts the club massively as it makes it more difficult to attract players to improve us. The time to push is in Jan - Levy has to go for it and gamble for once because even just Europa football could be huge for us next year.
As for now, let the banter monkeys have their fun, I can guarantee you that Arsenal aren’t winning the title despite what they think, they’re the same bottlers from last season.
It will be embarrassing though if we finish behind Ten Hags schitt United side

I disagree, the philosophy is spot on, the issue is some of the personnel aren’t good enough - money needs spending to rectify that.

Massively missing Maddison, Lo Celso is not the answer, Johnson is just not the solution on the left, Kulusevski as much as I like as a player is not being maximised on the right, the ball doesn't get into the box quickly enough, defenders have to much time to get organised and Son is missing Maddison the most and Kane needs the distribution to do his bit, overall very disappointed

Your next couple of fixtures have the potential to stop the bleeding.
Newcastle are decimated, and over at Forest Cooper is under severe pressure with the club reportedly eyeing up potential replacements.
The problem is that if you were to fail to win at least one of those the pressure on Ange, like it or not, would start to mount, with Brighton away and an in form Everton at home up next.
It would be a shame if Levy, having finally stumbled upon a suitable manager, started to feel concerned about the prospect of missing out on Europe or having to loosen the purse strings in January.

Yesterday really did strike me as one of those games where we just looked a bit mentally spent. Even during these injuries we've maintained a pretty good level of play, but its been quite intense and we just havent had the chance to mix things up with selection. The vision of Maddison and Bentancur really would have helped massively against that double parked bus.
But it also showed a bit of a pattern that we struggle against these very defensive lines, and that's where the likes of Son are not so effective, and the shortcomings of GLC and PEH are laid bare.
Long term we will need a striker who can offer some physicality and another CM who is far more dynamic than Hojbjerg
