Who knows what’s happened but the only things I can think could have happened are he has fallen out with the manager (which wouldn’t make sense if he’s still on the bench) or he doesn’t trust him with his injuries?

The whole idea he can’t play with slabhead at LCB makes no sense as he’s better than both Evans and Lindelof who are being picked at RCB ahead of him and EtH is happy to play Shaw at LCB meaning he can play Varane at RCB (which he did a few times last season).

If it really is tactical then it’s a really odd decision that isn’t going to help EtH.

Yes, you are an idiot, because you attack a player without even knowing why. Varane retired from international football to concentrate on his United career. He’s been our best defender in the last two years. The way he anticipates danger, the way he organizes his defense is second to nothing. When you watch him from the stands you see how he communicates incessantly with the other defenders, telling them what to do, when to advance, when to back off. And he is excellent in the air. Now that he is not playing, when concede easy goals from set pieces. Even our wall is laughable.
